This webinar is the first episode of the two-part webinar series titled “Teaching Physics Using Toys” based on the source book “Science and Mathematics of Toys" published by UP NISMED. The webinar series demonstrates how to utilize inexpensive, folk toys, and toys commonly found in the Philippines in teaching fundamental physics concepts.
This webinar features three (3) toys namely, Magic Slate, Pick-up Sticks, and Groan Tube. For each toy, the curriculum entry points, science process skills developed, learning activity, discussion of the scientific explanation associated with the toy, and teaching tips are presented.
