The National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development (NISMED) is a research unit and extension arm of the University of the Philippines. Attached to the College of Education, its goal is to raise the level of teaching and learning of science and mathematics in the Philippine educational system.

As a Science teacher, I really think everything being mentioned in this Webinar is absolutely amazing. I’ve been teaching for the past five years after my graduation in MSU-IIT. Since college, I’ve always regarded technology as the most essential driving tool for teachers to effectively teach concepts and ideas. As a matter of fact, I’ve tackled about “scientific creativity”, which made me win as the best speaker in our SciEdTalk (a TED-talk inspired forum focused on the innovations in Science Education) during my MA class at CNU. I have always believed that being creative in Science is one effective way to maximize learner’s enthusiasm in the field. I would like to thank all the organisers of this wonderful initiative. To Dr. Cathy Vistro-Yu, Dr. Amy Buan, and Dr. Steinrück, thank you for sharing your experiences and expertise in the field of SciMath Education. Saying YES to Science!
