I had a student give me a one paragraph excuse for not doing her work. When she realized how ridiculous her excuse sounded, she then proceeded to say, "And yesterday I took my fish for a walk". Kids. You gotta love them. Mind you, mine are high schoolers but they're ok, I still love my job.

This is why I never* subbed the last week of school . . . There’s no lesson plans, and everyone is NUTS. *almost never. There was ONE high school that was fine.

I subbed as an art teacher for a month at the end of the year, you should see what one of the classes did to the teacher’s art closet, at the end of the day I would stay after to clean up the room because there was paper crayons colored pencils all over the floor and I felt bad for the custodians

I’m a student, and I’ve done this to a teacher before… three times. I was mortified and guilt-ridden all three times. Shoutouts to my teachers back in middle school who didn’t mistreat me or make me feel bad for doing that.

My English teacher had a one cupper coffee pot that died earlier this week. A teacher came in to use it and it wasn't working, the next day we were planning a funeral for it. Then yesterday she said that she was going to find one and pick it up that day because she couldn't go that long without coffee.

I'm not even a teacher. I was the lunch room monitor for 2.5 hrs a day and shity pay and yes this all is true. Those teachers were late picking the kids up from lunch. My eye twitched so much 😵‍💫😩. After winter break it all went down hill 😅. Thank God I'm in the cafeteria kitchen cooking the meals this next school year 🙌.

See, that's why being a Daycare teacher is great. You get your workout in while getting paid to do it. Weight lifting. Go into the toddler room and do a round of diaper changing for them. Need a run.
