I think Mirror Julie is just riding Regular Julie’s coattails. Mirror Julie shows up to work drunk ALL the time, while Regular Julie puts in all the work and effort, and tries her best to hide Mirror Julie’s addiction from the world. I pray for Mirror Julie every day, and Regualr Julie is a saint for helping Mirror Julie for so long

Mirror Julie is actually future Julie from 2023. She couldn't handle that shit anymore, became an alcoholic and tried to return to a better time, 2020, but somehow got stuck in the mirror world. Now all she does is drink and every once in a while share her wisdom.

The only way we in the US could get Canadian-style universal healthcare that meets US expectations would be if we paid almost as much as we pay now for insurance, and had to wait almost as long as we wait now for appointments. The only advantage would be that nobody would go bankrupt and become homeless due to out-of pocket and co-pay charges. Or, those with enough assets could make a deposit of a couple million to an offshore rock star team and expect to get a little of it back once the surgical and rehab team is paid. Oh- for an extra 3%, there would be Cordon Bleu meals for you and the team and optional musicians and masseuses.

Free healthcare? The money comes from somewhere unless you just print it like the US government does. Waiting 12 months to see a doctor about terminal cancer has its perks and if you are depressed Canada offers free end your life care. Sounds great like Obama Care which cost twice as much and no you do not keep the doctor of your choice. More money was spent on the web site than actual medical coverage. Anything run by the government is a failure. Three people watching one person work. But I digress.

Yeah, but Oscar Wilde was a massive, flamboyant, gay as hell 19th century peacock. Love the man, but as much as he'd thrive in today's climate, this quote is no longer true.

me: Julie wrote a script addressing her own conflicting emotions about a substancial amount of growth in a small amount of time and the different pressures that come with it as well as the possible influence that can have on her work and herself and does it in a dialogue with two characters, both being Julie and yet none of them are actually her (funnier when one of them is "regular Julie"). Also, the way this contributes to the parasocial relationship with the audience and the weird line of authenticity in pre-scripted material are in the subtext. also me: good and funny video ahah.

So brilliantly done. Mirror Julie holds so much wisdom. I enjoy how you reveal your own insecurities through your character. Endears us to you even more!

Being brilliant in writing, acting, AND videography puts Julie Nolke in a class by herself. If there are other people involved in her productions I did not mean to slight them. Regardless, she has already shown her talent to be equal to or better than anything coming out of Hollywood or main stream TV.

Mirror Julie is right: when dealing with alter egos/fairy godselves/parallel yous, you always want to make sure that any deals made end with reality you in the Lion's Chair.

1:59 a forgettable face is actually pretty good. You can be super famous and not have people interrupt your family dinner every 5 minutes at your favorite restaurant.

Mirror Julie licking the outside of the drink glass was just hilarious - I love the attention to small details of your characters, I've seen drunk people do this keen not to spill a drop sliding down the glass etc.

Your first video I saw was Explaining the Pandemic to My Past Self. I've been watching since and checked out your older stuff. Two Sides of My Brain Every Morning is probably my favorite but you have a lot of great stuff. Keep it up! You're amazing!
