Being a rapper would be a plus for me if she were my kids' teacher. Depending on what grade level/subject(s) she taught, rapping involves sooo many important skills. These kind of skills are what we need in the classroom. I'm thinking of early literacy skills in particular, but there all whole range of skills involved in rapping that translate to the classroom.

That parent is jealous and it's one of their reasons for wanting to remain anonymous. The other reason is that their child would tell everyone that their parent uses curse words all of the time. The parent knows their child will hate them for doing this and the final reason is that they know that children, who love this teacher, will bully their child for what the parent did.

Rap education. Rap does not have to have profanity unless... you're not that good of a rapper, writer, or have limited vocabulary. Rap provides an awesome teachable moment and tool for figurative language. I use it in class all the time. This wasn't about her rap, rather her content. I hope her career comes with a bag and benefits...

I doubt she was fired for being a rapper. It most likely is the profanity and the fact that she refused to get rid of her content (which contained profanity). We teachers have moral turpritude clauses in our contracts.
