Yes. Kids are full of energy and to expect them to be in prison for the their childhood is cruel which is what school is in many areas of the U.S. because of how little the teachers care and always recite: "Everyone is different, be proud of that because if everyone was the same then it'd be boring" before demanding everyone learn at the same slow pace based on age... It's a hell of a lot better than a teacher calling a kid retarded, exact word, to his face and his parents face when that kid speaks 2 languages and already knows the fundamentals of math and algebra by age 6. By 6 I had already gone through my midlife crisis and was exponentially more mature beyond my years, and still am.. That teacher expected me to learn "10+13" but why learn something I already know and knew in kindergarten before grade-school so I used that time to remap my mind to increase the speed of responses and social skills. I then left school after grade 2 or 3 and went back for a year in Canada for 8th, One and a half years in Germany for 9th and part of 10th, then College back in the States... I was shy as a kid and didn't properly communicate with the teacher and they sure as hell didn't properly communicate with me or my parents; I did get along with the principle though, the guy was a human calculator and was the only person in any of the multiple schools I attended that impressed me as a kid; he is / was a true educator ( I'm not sure if he's still around ). Had my "teachers" taken the time to open up like this and be more approachable rather than using name-calling as their go-to method when a kid didn't do what they wanted, then I could've opened up to them and shared what I knew, been properly tested and placed in correct grades ( although I was tested in kindergarten and later and placed higher than most college students which is why I left school altogether only going back for "official paperwork" / degrees and learning what I wanted out of school at my own pace )... The U.S. doesn't have an education system.. Well, it can't be called that because most people only "teach" because they need a "job" instead of it being a career path for the right reasons. But, people like this actually inspires hope for it if this was actually in the U.S. - could be in Canada for all I know...
