@@tonimcbride2205That’s the case with most students who aren’t doing well academically unfortunately. The only way around that is through lessons like this. My teachers never helped me or gave me this kind of advice, I really wish they did. High schoolers don’t understand that the second you turn 18, it’s a brutal and challenging world to conquer. No one’s gonna hand you anything in life and you need to grow up FAST.

This reminds me of my bus driver. He was a kind older gentleman, however my bus happened to be full of obnoxious pricks. When a kid decided to throw trash at a car, he pulled over and yell in the loudest, angriest, most indimidating voice I had ever heard in my life. Everyone went dead silent. He walked back up to the front, sat down, looked at me, and said "yeah, I used to be a drill sergeant for the army back in the day. Guess I still got it."

The last teacher was great. Your outlook on life changes once you become a full adult, diving into the real world with an actual job or career (or trying to get hired), while also dealing with a multitude of responsibilities. No doubt, you can have fun during your teenage years, and you should. However, I hope the students there learned something and took the last teacher’s words to heart, even though most of them were giggling/joking around.

The kid stumbles a little, stumbles a few seats forward, and then launches face first up next to Dave. They yelled back at each other and then the kid got off.
