He nearly died during that phone call. You can tell he wanted to laugh at how terribly bad the policy had gone, whilst simultaneously regretting it and feeling terrible for the lass. I'm so glad he instantly apologised, so that it was captured on video how quickly he took responsibility. Top bloke, I thought he was going to cry at one point, that was one helluva a prank.

Oof. This just shows how awesome of a teacher he must be. They were willing to show him the flaws with his policy WITHOUT attacking him, and made it a super cool learning experience for him. Great job students, and great job teacher for handling that with grace.

Respect to the teacher for caring more about his student than the policy. He was going to let her leave and take the call privately (if it had been serious, but she insisted for the joke) and even apologized.

These kids should be so proud that they have a teacher that can apologize and admit they’re wrong. At my school, all our teachers act like they can never be wrong, we’re all stupid, and that they rule the universe (expect my math teacher he’s amazing). Props to this teacher.

You can see that many of them smiled or laughed. The good thing is, the only one who shouldn‘t laugh is the girl on the phone. Everybody else could just laugh at her because of the call and not because it is a prank

That was the best. One time my kids pranked me on April fools day. I had been out and and when I returned I was busy and putting things away. My daughter then said, somebody called for you about your business and she needed to talk to you about something and she was hoping you could call her right away. Here’s the note well I looked at the note and it said to call Miss Camel so I figured she wanted to purchase something that I was selling so then I called the number and they answered it and said it was the zoo and not even realizing what I was doing. I asked if Miss Camel was there. As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I realized what had happened, I quickly hung up, and we laughed and laughed and laughed for hours over that.

No kidding. That man has solid boundaries, and enforces them. He admits when he screwed up or crosses a line. He praises students who proved themselves to be more clever than he is (at least for that moment). This is the kind of teacher I want my kids to have.

Respect the privacy of others or get burned. I guarantee his little phone policy vanished after that. They might have painted it as this harmless prank, but if it had been real, he'd have been on a one-way train to destination fucked. That chick used a "prank" to send a message.
