Yes useful but best to pre book like the happy taxi company pattaya . They wait for you no queuing 2300 return.

Hi friend. Nice of you to share info about Happy Taxi. I plan to cover all the available options for travel between Bangkok and Pattaya, and will eventually get to the private operators. Meter taxi is good for those who are traveling without a fixed plan because it is available at any time. Thank you for your support 😊

You can use Bolt for a cheaper taxi from the airport. If you are not in a hurry, it's only 143 baht to catch an air conditioned coach. The bus ends near Jomtien, on the songthaew route, so you can catch one of those for 10 baht to many of Pattaya's hotels or catch a taxi the rest of the way.

The prices were lower in June 2023. From Pattaya, they would take even 900 to come to BKK, and 1200 for DMK and Bangkok city. For a bigger car (SUV), the price increased a bit. One has to look around for the best rates. And there is also the seasonal factor.

afaik, there is taxi booth there , white color, you can ask taxi there, I think it is better , then bargain with driver barely speaks english. never used this though.

@slesru The white color taxi booth, which is actually the taxi service center, will not arrange a cab or fix the price. They only tell people to take a token from the machines, and then speak to the driver for the price to Pattaya. But they will tell an approximate price, which is subject to bargaining with the driver.

I booked a taxi through a private operator and paid 1100 baht for a Camry till pattaya.

If you use bolt - I paid 1300 baht including highway fee. Bolt quoted 900 baht. Prices quoted are generally without the highway toll. Grab taxi app is generally 30% more expensive. Taxi are better cars in some cases, prices again are 30% higher than bolt. Go with bolt... you will save. My prices are 2 weeks old.

@svuvmdv4608 Bolt certainly looks like a better and cheaper option. I have been using Bolt bike taxi in Thailand lately. Have yet to book their car, though. Maybe one day I will make a video on taxi hailing apps in Thailand.
