    I'm 62, and I take Taurine every morning before my workout for >2yrs It mixes well with coffee and definitely helps physical + mental performance. I fast 20 hrs so black coffee+taurine is my breakfast that gets me out the door. I've lost 30lbs and I'm running sub 6min miles again, doninating my age group. I take several supplements with meals later in the day but taurine has earned its place as the first of the day (with caffeine) .

    If you eat meat you will obtain taurine from a natural source.

    If you're not deficient in taurine, it's generally best to obtain it from natural sources. Supplements may not be necessary.
