    Well I learned that milk products contains the hormones of the mother animal. Which are harmful, by disturbing our human hormone system. Neither less are the fermented animal products like cheese or joghurt a littel less harmful. So what's Dr. Lee's opinion about the hormones we consume by the milk products?

    @@anettesinn280 I share your concerns. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with breast cancer fueled by estrogen. To help me lead the best healthy lifestyle, I hired a nutritionist to help me. He advocates to avoid dairy because it causes inflammation in the body. Most people I have watched or talked to on the oncology side, say to avoid dairy, due to the hormones.

    Smoothing destroys te fiber in fruits and veggies. Thus, the smoothie might cause a glycemic spike due to fast absorption of the fructose in the fruits. Please eat a motejares portion of the whole fruit. Spinach is also rich in calcium oxalate and should be avoided by people that form calcium oxalate kidney stones. The way to neutralize the sodium oblates in spinach is to eat them together with cheese like in traditional Greece food. Note also that cooking/heating foods rich in vitamin C strongly reduces the vit. C content.

    You still get the fiber because even blended, the fiber is still in the smoothie. Juicing is another story because you are removing all the fiber. As long as you drink the smoothie slow, it’s not going to spike your sugar. But you should have flax and other fats to help slow it down.

    Smoothies do not destroy fiber because nothing is thrown out, everything is included when it all goes in the blender. Juicing is another story, the pulp gets separated out and that's where the fiber is

  • @vitazenhealth

    @vitazenhealth

    7 күн бұрын

    Blending fruits and vegetables into smoothies can alter the fiber structure, potentially leading to quicker sugar absorption, but they still provide valuable nutrients. It's true that spinach contains oxalates, which can be a concern for those with kidney stone issues, but combining it with calcium-rich foods like cheese can help reduce the risk. Cooking can indeed decrease vitamin C levels in foods, so for maximum benefits, consuming some foods raw is beneficial.
