Tata Nexon EV Vlog 6: Bengaluru (Whitefield) to Goa - Should you attempt such a long trip?
Ғылым және технология
My experience of driving Nexon EV from Bengaluru whitefield to South Goa. There were few hiccups & change in plan but we reached Goa safe and sound. Please see the whole video for my full experience. I will be uploading more videos of my Goa stay & the return journey from Goa to Bengaluru.

Thanks. Will upload it in a few days
😇🙌
I think you are unnecessarily pushing the EV to full discharge. It's much better to discharge from 90 to 20 and then top up. Stop every 2 hours for a top up, even if you top up for only 20 mins. I have found this strategy very useful as it provides peace of mind, frequent short breaks, and fastest charge speed. Beyond 90, charge speed is very slow and I always want to keep 20 for any untoward situations. The only case where I would charge to 100 is when there is no other charger available for 150+ kms.

Valid point. I think now more chargers are available on this route, so more frequent stops might be the better option.
Great video 👍

Nice Vlog. How much range have you got in non-hilly highway and with how many people in EV

I drove for 207km between chargers and 9% was still left. So i would have got around 225-230km in total. We had 4 passengers and luggage.. (without AC)
Looking at the time that an EV user has to spend in charging the vehicle through a long journey doesn’t make it a very practical option. Maybe hybrids is an option..

I agree somewhat to your opinion. But I have been doing long trips (1000+kms) on my nexon EV for over a year now. I am now used to taking a break after every 180km or so of driving (around 3 hours). This helps keep me refreshed when I'm covering 800+km in a day - I keep the AC running and take a short nap while the car charges, else these breaks coincide with breakfast, lunch & dinner, plus a stop for tea. I used to do such long drives on a Polo diesel previously. Then also I'd stop at wayside hotels for meals and rest usually for a comparable amount of time. Overall, I feel the EV adds a couple of extra hours on the road when you're driving for very long distances. I'm also less exhausted over longer drives - partly due to the breaks, partly due to the lower levels of noise and vibration from the car.
If tata motors closed. If we reach there after 8 to morning 8.. so charging station open rahta hai ya nahi

@@windyWindward yes I did. Though I am out of India now so had to sell my Nexon EV. But I used Plug share for all the trips I did.
Hi Ankit, it is just a request when you make travel videos with your EV then could you please also talk about Regen which you are getting during your journey also it would be really helpful if you could also show the places where you are stopping for snacks, breakfast or lunch while the EV is charging 😊 I must share this with you that I follow all your videos
This is really painful.
We see many are complaining for Dharwad - Anmod - Ramnagar route, how is your feeling during travel with Nexon, we will also travel on 30-Sept or 2nd Oct We are planning in this route Bangalore to Bankapur toll - Tadas-Kalaghatgi- yellapur - Karwar to South Goa Please advise

The Anmod route has some really bad patches of road. Since nexon has very high ground clearance it was not a problem but for a car with low ground clearance it will be an issue. Route in general is very scenic though. I didn't take Karwar route as that route has no fast chargers..
Tata Charger mostly first' attempt issue for charging

@@salluks thats true. Its more economical as long as you dnt need to make a stop or at max have 1 stop only as you will make a stop to eat even in ICE vehicle. So yes, it does add to the cost.
It's Davangere, not Davangiri... 😅
