my mother met my stepfather when his service was coming to an end, he snuck some MREs home for us to try, it was truly something amazing I felt like I was in a movie, in 2011 he took us to see the base he was stationed at, sadly did not get to go inside but seeing all the trucks and soldiers walk around was so cool for me, we even got to see a truck transporting tanks leave the base

Lion bars are still a thing here in the UK. :) I'm so surprised that mre was still good! I wonder if its something to do with the tomatoes that makes some mre spoil quicker. I've noticed that the mres that have mains with a tomato based sauce never seem to last. All things being equal with storage conditions that is. I love hearing your memories from your life in the Marines. Getting to see your photos as well is a real treat. Thank you for sharing with us. Another great video. :) P.S. I was looking for a PO box to send you a couple of things but you don't have one listed in your YT pages. Anyway I can get things to you? I have a few 2019 British 24hr rats. Lion chocolate bars are very common here, in Portugal, it really surprised me that in a more "exotic" or different MREl like the one you taste tested, about all components were good, heating up that rice with a little water would probably make it perfect, and those vanilla capuccinos are usualy better with hot water. @@MeAncient Yeah, we had a pretty nice view of the ocean, really sucked when the storms would roll in during the rainy season. We lived in G.P tents that were positioned parallel to the coastal highway. I remember being woke up in the middle of the night when a storm rolled in and blew open the side{opposite of the side I was sleeping on} of the tent and rain was pouring in. This happened at like 2:00am, we're out there in our cotton union suits trying to stake down the side of tent, ah good times, not!
