Gulf War MRE - Corned Beef Hash, IS IT EDIBLE?

Ойын-сауық

Join me as I eat a 32 year old MRE from the Gulf War. It's Corned Beef Hash, Apple Jelly, Crackers, Oatmeal Bar, and all the drinks. It is remarkably good!

Another great and very interesting video. I'd imagine that the reason that the corned beef hash looked moist, was because the juices in the beef, must have been drawn out, by the starch content, in the potatoes. Just like when cooking, the starch absorbs the liquids, to thicken stews or such. This is more than likely, even though it looked wet, the beef was dried out by it's juices being removed by the potatoes. Not sure, but it's possible. Looks like Asa, is expanding his product line of his merchandise, good to see he's doing well on his channel. God bless guys, waiting patiently for the next video.

I saw some boy claiming he got those vintage ration from military surplus store got edible orange nutcake from 1982's MRE pack and even got edible chocolate fudge disk&hot cocoa mix from 1970's MCI, B-3A unit. You know, they easily go rancid because of nuts and milk components. Getting edible vintage rations are like buying a lottery! @@MeAncient , I was in India 3/2/2 and we were the "primary air alert" battalion that morning of the bombing, they got us all up early, we drew weapons, staged our gear and stood by for hours as news kept coming in about the death toll, etc...after most of the day being secured to the barracks courtyard ("hurry up and wait"), they finally announced they'd deployed another unit (I believe it was 8th Marines) instead of us..we secured all our gear, turned in weapons and continued as "primary" air alert battalion, with almost all of us grumbling about being the primary battalion if they were gonna send somebody else...our barracks were the ones almost to the water if you turned down the street next to the base theater...

i have a real problem with this sir... every "old" MRE ive ever eaten, and watched get eaten... are still good... "newer" mre's usually have "bad" or going bad components... still edible by all account, but its really a tell of how far we've fallen in terms of emergency rations... ive eaten quite a few 90's era MRE's adn they were excellent
