I will never get tired of Alex failing to stop himself from laughing at Katherine trying to slingshot her shoe.

Katherine’s catapult attempt is one of my favourite moments of taskmaster.😂

The issue with Mawaan's Pasta was that Alex was working out how much spaghetti was in the grapefruit by weighing the spaghetti jar Before the task and then comparing it's weight to After the task and saying the difference in weight was how much SPaghetti was actually in the grapefruit. Mawaan managed to cheat the system by sneaking a bunch of spaghetti out without shoving it in the grapefruit and then putting it in his dressing room bin, leaving his Spaghetti Jar empty and making a 100% difference based on how Alex was working out scores.

lol. Yeah, not sure why this method of measurement left our wonderful host so baffled

Notably this method also meant that it could be fair even if someone such as Daisy cooked the pasta or if some bits were stuck inside the fruit

The interesting thing is that he was sneaky, and made Alex's job harder, but didn't actually break any rules.

I’m with you! Alex did great in Katherine’s upside down play. I’ve never understood the abuse he’s taken. Sure on the show it can just be explained away as the whole Greg persona, but they slag him off on the podcast too.

to be fair i’ve heard of alex being an absolute demon behind the scenes. like in season 7 (i think) greg’s gift to rhod only got smashed by jessica knappett at the end of one of the episodes because alex was sitting their nodding his head even though greg and rhod were telling her no. there’s a lot of stuff that gets edited out and i wouldn’t be surprised if alex did more stuff like that. edit: just so no one calls me an alex hater, i’m not saying this makes him a bad person or anything but i’m sure some of the contestants who are friends with alex might want to get back at him by poking fun at him.

I think Mawaan was the only person to wear shorts to the studio. And it suits him. His dress sense is wonderful.

I love your "Donna has Asthma" T-shirt! Knappet would have won! Not all springs are made of coiled metal, some are plastic, leaf springs like on a car, some are foam many kinds of springs. He cheated by throwing away the remainder of the pasta after stuffing it down his boiler suit and smuggling it out of the lab, he claimed he put All of the pasta in the fruit, but he hadn't.

I am with Greg on the Prize Task...I was actually feeling bad for "upside down people" watching that movie, while knowing that they don't exist.

I think the Brits call slingshots catapults, as well as traditional leverage catapults, so i think Katherine is ok in that respect. Execution though...lol

Mawaan thought that if he had no pasta left Alex would assume all the pasta was used (i.e. max weight)

I think the catapult task was so bad from Catherine on a level of basic understanding, that I think she should have a good shot at getting the Baddiel award...

She's fascinating - I don't know if there's ever been anyone on her level of crapness, who's only just discovering how crap she is, but is also accepting it with such grace and humour and charm. She doesn't give up on the tasks, her energy doesn't drop into sulky irritation, she's just sent into quiet hysterics over it all. Definitely overlooked as an unusual standout.

Richard’s primary characteristic is smugness. Just wait. You’ll see it. Lots of comics roast him pretty severely. And I genuinely liked Daisy when I watched this, but then I watched her on ‘Buzzcocks’ and found her so annoying I could barely tolerate her.

"Put all the spaghetti in this grapegruit" - The reason there was controversy is that he attempted to make it look as if all his spaghetti was in the grapefruit when it wasnt. He hid the spaghetti he didnt put in the grapefruit in an attempt to get more points

  • @dittmanrat

Alex intended to measure the spaghetti remaining in the jar instead of the spaghetti in the grapefruit, then subtract from the total. But he was suspicious about Mawaan so he double checked... The thing is, Mawaan didn't know how Alex was going to measure, so he never actually "cheated", he just decided to be "sneaky" to get back at all the sneaky things Alex does. So he never should have been in danger of disqualification. Also: ....did you hear what Johnny says right before the ladder breaks??? It's a shame there are no subtitles, you definitely need to go revisit that moment!

I understand what the controversy was with the pasta grspefruit task, but honestly, Mawaan did nothing wrong by the rules of the task, the only issue was that Alex chose to measure the remainder and not what was actually used.

S10 unfortunately has a trend of tasks that just don't hit right for me. Whether it's wayyy to many complicated rules leading to disqualifications, or just weird tasks that fall flat, a lot of them put me off. The prize task here was a prime example, and I'm also not a fan of the pasta grapefruit one.
