I have a tsr8. When I hit play the pinch roller engages but doesn't turn. If I manually rotate the pinch roller the legs light up. Does the pinch roller motor need oil or must it be replaced. And if it needs to be replaced do you know eherr I can find one? Thank you for your video. It was very helpful. Sheldon

hi up date on the one i picked up after i left a comment i got hold of alot of zonal tapes from a studio in the uk i have worked on alot of tascam 38 working on my last one it is been jazzed up the power pcb is working the main logic pcb was bad got all the solder of it and only left parts that i needed the motors are working this year i plan to post a video to show what i have done the cost to have it a 100% 38 parts would cost over 500 uk ads i have 5 more and i badly need a jazzed deck for editing and checking tapes there are decks out there that in a very bad way been doing up betacam sp decks as well 50 of them you don't see alot in the uk because of me

hi i had one i had to re make the part under the reel table roller missing is very rare in the uk i have worked on alot best one's are the 80-8 decks beware they are very heavy decks teac 44 is very good deck i had alot over the years tascam 38 can go bad i had a eu export model it's bad all over do have more working gone over to betacam sp decks for the analog sound

hi you are baking for to long 12 hr max i use zonal i never have baked one ever agfa is very good light bake 4 hrs i had 7 2 inch tapes in a big gas onen 55c about 8hrs they were great after just down to how bad they are
