Tarpon Fly tying, the lime crush

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

A simple but effective tarpon fly that can be tied in a range of colours or sizes. It's also a pretty good fl for snook and redfish among others.
Tie some up and give them a try.

Love the Trainspotting accent and love the simplicity of that bug

Nice easy tie , sometimes I tie this by just tying in the rabbit fur collar with a dubbing loop eliminating the hide helps reduce the weight of the fly . Mostly fish this swinging for Steelhead but the tarpon love it to. Thanks for sharing

Do you think it is more effective to use that anti-fouling method (for the tail rabbit) or just the regular mono loop through the hide way? Very nice video and fly btw

Salt Flies I don't really think it matters which method, the resin or mono loop both work. Just wanted to show this technique do used it in the video. Thanks for watching Martyn

Cool, I have heard of that technique but that was the first time I actually saw it being used on a fly. I think I am going to stick to the mono loop, it hasn't failed me plus it doesn't take that much time once you get the hang of it. Thanks for the video Martyn very nicely done

Salt Flies nice looking fly, I tied a few of these last year and we jumped 6 or 7 fish on it. Gonna try this bunny strip non foul m method using buck tail.
