Tying the Bushwhacker weedless baitfish fly

Here's a guide to a weedfree baitfish that you can through into heavy cover, wheteher you're targetting bass in grass, or snag bashing the mangroves. You can throw this into heavy cover and Know that it's going to come back out. In the video I've gone for bluegill colours, but you just need to adjust to suit your fishing situation.

The use of the spinner is brilliant. I find spinners help. I got close to this fly on my own but your colors are better. Thanks!

Very nice baitfish. I assume it has cracking movement in the water! I really like the lateral line with the flex CCG. I have CCG as well and have had some flies yellow but I never put together the solid vs. hollow. Thanks for that bit of information. All the best to you. Sean

i really like your concept.perhaps you could modify the Cheek area with a color/mild flash treatment.could enhance this area.Appreciate your videos.

Hey I didn't realize you have done some bass fishing flies! Have you tested this spin tail arrangement? How does it work on bass?

does the spinner spoon help keep the fly upright in the water when stripping it in ? is that its main purpose other than flash and vibration ?? good looking fly also !!!

Hey Martyn, I wanted to get in touch with you. You said on one of your old video's you wanted go get a better vise. I wanted to offer you a heavy duty Regal. I know you tie some large flies and this vise I have tied up to 8/0 and down to 22 size flies. It is strong though and will go through a really thin wire 22 sometimes. Let me know if you are interested. I don't know what the shipping to Japan would be but that is all you would have to pay. All the best, Sean

Seems to me that it would be almost as much fishless as weedless, as the big head blocks the hook point.
