This is a fly that looks as fishy as it gets. The tying process uses some interesting material combinations and makes for a great shallow water fly to sight fish with. This fly lands very soft and is great for cruising or spooky laid up fish. Hope you enjoy! backwaterflyfishing.com

well done, and thanks for not talking endlessly, the extra work of editing (fast forwarding) makes them short and sweet. Capt D.
This fly looks awesome and fairly easy to tie. Thanks for the great video

+Ron Whetstone Thanks for you kind words. The fly has great action in the water and has served me well in most settings. I like tying a black and red version as well. Tight lines.
These baitfish flies are awesome, but do you need to put lead wraps on? Seems like they would nearly float
I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I need to know how you take a pinch of extra select craft fur off the pad to tie ? I can see you are the real deal tying and fishing flies . Pease advise.

First I recommend flipping the craft fur pad so that the furry side is down on the table. Then cut out a patch about 1 inch by 1/2 inch out of the pad. Then take that and cut along the pad to sever the fibers from that 1 inch by 1/2 inch piece. This is how I like to remove the craft fur from the pad. Then I like to pull the few extra long fibers out of the bunch so that I am left with a semi-even clump.
Awesome fly, thanks. Did you use 1.5” or 3” foxy brush?
