Tencent acquired them during the redesign into an extraction, and then set impossibly high monetization standards they would never meet. Cue cancellation and sending them to work in the Tencent mines. Ironic because had they spent more time developing the game, communicating with the community and learning from their predecessors mistakes (p2w, insurance) they could've built an actually monetizable, loyal playerbase.

@@firesupotree None of that is the reason why The cycle died... it died because the lead dev was an idiot and didnt put a single form of anti cheat into the game.. when cheaters realized this, the cheating was absolutely insane. That killed 80% of the players, which never came back, because they never got the word that the cheating was fixed. Even to this day, I meet tons of people who think The Cycle always had a major cheating issue, no it didn't, that was only the first season, out of 3.

Nobody would make a subscription to netflix if the Service would be broken. Same applies here, people will sub to the game if they have fun, nobody has fun against cheaters, means no income for the company. Now i give u the bsg example, playing vs cheaters they dont care because u already paid for the game. Banning cheaters to make a 4x Bundle in the Shop to reinvite the cheaters. That wont happen in ABI. I also want to add there will be a killcam and a speccam. Simply best anticheat.

The thing I found most interesting in this video was the intellectual throwback to the thumbnail. Then you know you are watching high quality and intellectual honest content.

For the solo vs teams issue I think they should just make it so if you queue up as a solo you are more likely to get into matches with teams of 2-3 max, while if you queue 4 man it tries to queue you against other 4 man teams but if it takes too long puts you in a game with mainly 2-3 man teams. You don't need an entirely different mode, just a backend matchmaking system that takes team size into account.

People have so much time invested in tarkov that im not sure it will ever die. Ive learned a lot about tarkov and how hard I worked to improve is one of the reasons im so attached to it.

I agree, makes it all the more rewarding. When you watch guys like nogenerals and willerz play the game like it’s destiny 2 you start to realise it’s more of a skill issue. Cheaters aren’t as rampant as everyone wants to think, putting time into the game and not having an ego so you can actually learn and progress will make you enjoy the learning process more. I think Tarkov is a sweats game and it’s not designed for the people who want a casual hand holding experience. That being said I’m absolutely here for it as a wipe and a half Chimmy

It was pride and vengeance! Ill move on if another game can give me a better feeling but right now tarkov still offers me a great experience.

I haven’t touched tarkov since i got accepted to play. People say no content even tho more than half the are not accessible yet due the fact its closed beta and theyre making sure people choose the intro maps to get a feel for the game, bugs, and what needs to be ready for full launch. This game is where tarkov was in prior to all the extensions to the maps

You get self revive kits from a faction contact in the mobile version. You guys on PC will have this, too. The mobile version is absolutely loaded, and if you haven't tried it you're in for a real treat when the full version is released

Arena Breakout is literally Tarkov light. You just get the jump spams and dumb shit signature of COD. Tarkov didn't catch people's eyes because of the extraction aspect, it's always been the realism and learning as you go. People always seem to forget that lol

I actually played the mobile version of the game to actually get a feel for the Out of beta release of infinite the only problem for me was the whole "pay for high tier loot" thing, and the shitty optimization. Players who play F2P has a lot of disadvantages compared to players who pay for most of their gear. I shit you not, i got killed by a level 15 player in lockdown who paid for his gear with Tier 6 ammo, armor, and high tier gun. Barely anyone in that level has 1 mil let alone have koens to splurge that much koens. Heck most level 30's I see even wear tier 3 gear since splurging that much for gear is dumb as hell when you could just get shot by a rat with an Mp5. While i a level 25 player with 2 mil with tier 4 gear which costs around 120k. Kitting tier six costs around 800k. The game is absolutely fucked. The community is even worse since they're saying this isn't pay to win. Barely anyone I play with who's a free to play rarely survives a match from either tier 6 P2W's or some sniper with a mosin magically headshoting you despite doing the serpentine maneuver whilet sprinting. There's a reason why most Level 30's in the game play using tier4 and below since some cheater or some bloke who paid his way to success. The only reason most players continue on this sisyphian task is because they want to get rich in game and to alleviate the whole broke in real life thing. The game is going to be absolutely pay to win the moment it goes out of CBT. Considering what tencent did to squad it wouldn't be surprising.

this game will not kill tarkov because you cant make money w/o paying irl and the most important thing - its not as solo friendly as tarkov. You are almost always fighting squads in ABI, in tarkov way more solo players. Those 2 reasons alone will hold the game back.

I'm a solo bruh I have 10mil on my acct in mobile you can easily wipe a squad good rig and full kit guns high tier ammo and bring utility for a tactical advantage how you use it for your advantage utility are so usefull in this game if you go solo.... I don't engage when I'm in dis advantage I just extract and reset🤣🤣🤣

the funny thing is SPT has been doing the color ammo indicator to tell what's good or not for a long while, so to see Arena come out swinging with that is great. Part of the fun of tarkov is the learning. I'm sure abi is better for some people but I still like the learning curve of tarkov.

Missed an opportunity for a 200 IQ title with "Breakout from Tarkov" Breakout from Tarkov as in "Breakout is from Tarkov because its a literally copy pasted version of it", which could of had some fun references in the video. Breakout from Tarkov as in "escape from Tarkov" which would of had some fun references to throw into the video as well. two ways to play off the title in the video for fun.

Quick little thing about SPT is that you can download a mod that allows a compass with every available extraction and puts quest markers on it to tell you where to go. I always had chads carry and give me loot so I'm not the best. 2nd wipe I was way more capable on my own and actually got through quests. I just hate how you have to watch a 10 min video on where to go or extract. It's not like that for every quest but man do some of them suck

RMT is really hampered in this game tho, which is very good. You cant drop trade, stuff gets returned via mail, you cant market cheese, there are floating caps that dont allow you to put item for more than x3 of its median or you will pay insane fees, theres no player to player trading. They will sell accounts tho, but its more cumbersome and people usually want convenience of stuff being in one place. People literally refuse to play games if they are not on steam, thats how much they like stuff being convenient.

I would really like to argue a point, at 2:40 you mention that gun bros understand the game intuitively. As someone who was raised inside of the cash drawer of a gun store in America, Tarkov makes sense, until they literally don't actually follow the real world. Yeah i agree, this pay for convenience garbage is just cope. If you take 2 identical players and apply "pay for convenience" to one its very clearly pay to win.

The only thing Tarkov still does undeniably better is map design and RPG like character progression. Also PvE mode. Until ABI gets some sort of character progression other than just better gear. It won't *kill* EFT. However it still has a solid place in the genre for those that like a less challenging extraction shooter.

RMT will have a much harder time here. You can't extract with a team mate's loot.

IMPORTANT THING TO ADD!! - there most likely won't be a lockdown/forbidden for every single map. They will have different modes for each map. For example - on mobile, farm and valley don't even have forbidden option and the TV station is only available IN A lockdown mode. It doesn't have normal, maybe it has forbidden i didn't check. But there are other modes that are easier for solos and lots more ways to earn money when the full game releases. We are missing 90% of the content in this game honestly. The maps and modes are everything aswell as the rest of equipments, weapons etc. There is so much to come that i fear when we get it, it will be a sensory overload lmao

The only thing that annoys me about AB is the fact you tank your stamina after running for 30 seconds. As former military and ultra runner this is a little annoying, like why does my character have the stamina of an incel thats never been outside for more than 5 minutes

⁠​⁠@@81gsmokie16oh its definetly true you know whats funny abi was just the pc version of ab from mobile amd i can tell the reason they made abi is because the mobile was their first game in mobile that actually made actual cut than the rest of the mobile extraction games(in mobile becuase ive seen the other extractgames here and there not fun as ab) and due to its rising popularity in ab mobile also have with its discord and such, that it basiclly pulled a green flag for them to implement the game for pc Ps: you can play tarkov if you like but if where going to point something and that ab is very forgiving to the casual gamers and tarkov is for the sweat like ive seen enough of the game vid that the big issue as casual player is it dont forgive players that dont stip grinding despite the constant wipe and it hinders people that are casual to play it on the other hand ab(expierence mostly in mobile) is very fun like tarkov but it wont wipe your stuff progress and most definetly casual friendly the paying part of the games is mostly on cosmetic, pass, case, storage, and keon but it dont not mean it hinders the game, yuoll most certainly still have the upper hand because it requered skill due to its access to the market and ammo that you have a fine chance on fighting high geared player My tip: if you want to rat and being cheap then either use mp5 or uzi with dumdum rounds or shotgun with stronger bulletes its up to you if you argue because this is all from my mobile experience
