Not good but least you had that Skar RP 2000 for the rescue. I always have a Hifonics BRX2000.1D amp in my bedroom if I ever had my amps go out.

I just installed a smart 3 bass in my car on a sundown x12. In the beginning my amp kept cutting out. I thought I was going to have to send it back, but I remembered watching a video from Jerryaintloud. He said taramps are picky about RCA input voltage. Some of these taramps don't like RCA input voltage over 2 volts. On my car I have an audiocontrol LOC that I had to lower the voltage on so my amp wouldn't cut out anymore. All seems ok for now. Hopefully it lives a long time.

It should bro I guess it’s just the luck of the draw. I’ve had two other smart 3ks and never had a issue with either. I’ve had the md 8k twice with no issues so idk 🤷🏽‍♂️

Good to have a spare... I've been running my Memphis mc 1500 d since like 04 without issues I have other newer amps but I'm to lazy to build a new amp rack 😊

@@rubenavila8012 I have a few skar products I have a 800.1 pushing 3 JL 10s in my wife's car it's been a good amp for sure. I got it in a package deal with 2 12s I believe sdr or something like that. I never used them, but I do like the box they came in just needs a little bit more port area 🤔. I had four of the Memphis 1500d as well as a four channel at one point but only one is still working.

I am just rocking a light weight skar amp for the win.

With stock a alternatorI have had this system for 3 months now and I haven’t never hooked it up. I was wanting to know what kind of battery i need to get and how big of a battery do i need. Taramps make some nice power supplies but im not a fan of there amplifiers....I personally went through 5 before i said taramps is not for me lol... efficiency is important for me due to ecu controlled changing...So JBL club A and the diamond audio DES1000.1 are what im running now and beyond happy with ..Good clean power high dampening factor and do 1000 watts with 60 amps of current draw...Dont ask me how cause it should not be possible but they do somehow!

That's why only use Korean half bridge as long your not running under ,67 ohm amps stay cool to the touch after banging them for hours.

According to the manual u needed atleast 150ah worth of battery. That battery looks kinda small. What ah is stated on the battery?

Bruh don't do it . I learned the hard way. I had a taramp 800.4 it went up in smoke less than 2 weeks . I replaced it with a DB 45 had it running for a year with no problem

Don't run a taramps in ur girls car. There's nothing wrong with taramps I love them but they absolutely require rock solid electrical. Voltage needs to be monitored religiously when running questionable electrical on taramps. It will blow if ran below 12v and that little agm isn't gonna do that. It's a powerful amp.

@@BassAddict91 jps amps are korean built half bridge= built like tanks. If you run @ 1 ohm, on a 1 ohm stable korean built half bridge amplifier, expect 2 to 4 ohm power while playing music, but will last a very long time. Half bridge will have Less noise, higher damping factor= tighter more controlled= less sloppy bass, better quality cross overs, arent picky on voltages, power, or rca input, and the low bass wont drop off below 30Hz vs full bridge. The down side is they cost more per watt, and are bigger= with big heat sinks = runs cooler= lasts longer, so its better.

My old lady got a smart 3k on 2 skar 15s

@@BassAddict91 Do you know how much Rca voltage your wifes deck puts out to the subwoofers? I say this cause full bridge amps, dont last long if you give them too much Rca voltage ( they like around only 1 volt max.!), too high, or too low, of input voltage( 12.0 to 14.0 ) is there sweet spot, and dont run below rated impedance.

Taramps are known to blow up. I know first hand l had a taramp 800.4 to blow up
