Yes Sir!! I was able to get more clarification of your wife's system in this video as it pertains to the subwoofer type and the amp that runs them. Your theory is on-point!! I watched a lot of SQ build videos and the most expressed concept is that your amp does not need to match the power your subwoofers put out (meaning you can use an amp lower in power than what the subs are rated at RMS wise). In theory, unless you are going to be competing in SPL competitions, you will not be using the max output of the amp and subwoofers just to get loud; so you will not be playing the system at full tilt on a regular basis. This of course requires the assurance that you are NOT Clipping!! Also, the enclosure does matter!!

I got 4 of them 15s in my Navigator on 6k in a box tuned around 31hz and them jokers dig low, every store I pull up to looks like they widows bout to bust on anything I play in the mid 20s hz

Yea I got the SDR 12s on 3k. 2 of em. I got a hifonics Brutus though. Them are probably my favorite amps. One of the best too. I got the bass knob and everything hooked up. Shit be beating!

I have this same setup bro in a Ram. You mind showing me your amp and radio settings? I just set mine up a few days ago.

Gotta try 4 15s of them VXFs though in my same box though to see if their louder then my DDXs

For a daily driver I would recommend some type of protective grill. Maybe some expanded stainless steel to keep the subs from getting punctured or anything from getting sucked into the port. Then you can toss whatever you want in the trunk and not worry about anything getting damaged.

To answer your first question the ddx is a huge step over the sdr. It’ll be a night and day difference. To answer would it be louder? Idk bro it all depends on the box you put them in. The box can be the difference maker because different subs requires different air space

The fuse holder looks like it takes a standard ANL size fuse so you can use any amperage up to 300A.

The new box i have in my car now is tuned to 35hz. 35hz is cool, and my spl score is higher, but i miss that 31hz. It just something about doing 140 at 30hz. Rebass music hit harder to at 31hz but on regular music, it bleh😒😒😒😒. Love your video and setup, bro. Keep it up

@BuddaDrifts I got 1 sundown x12 and 1 sundown nsv4 12 that I'm testing on 2 different amp. I got a taramp 5k and a deaf bonce 9500. Seal up I hit 141.4 on the dash and 142 in the kick with the deaf Bonce 9500. With the taramp amp I hit 141.9 with the driver side window down. Only got 1 sub in the car. For me it the box design. I score higher with sub facing the front and port on the side. I found out that if i face the sub back to trunk i lose 3db. I had a d4s prefab box that was tuned to 31hz and I could play down to 20hz with the x12. With the nsv4 12 for some reason it tuned to play 30 to 35. Anything lower or higher it doesn't like. But it and spl version so.

They was being underpowered so I grabbed the taramp and a different deck for my daily driver I thought my homie did all my levels right but if the ohms are off it was going to do it anyway so since the 15's are blown. I wanna match subs with the amp that I won't have to worry about failing

Skar cost so much in the u.k for me to get 1 of the 12s it cost about £600 online

@@BassAddict91 any kind of lower rms higher sq subwoofer will be better in that enclosure. Them skar ddx need more power and can’t give out full excursion with a lower rms sub so you can be louder

What's the ft³ of each chamber of the box if the chambers are separated ?

PLEASE 🙏🏽 take that amp off the box, unless you got some sort of cushion/dampening standoffs the vibrations will flex that circuit board in the amp. I've fixed to many setups that have had the amplifier shook to hell and back and the board grounds out to the case or something gets broken loose!
