Just got a pair of those IX12 in a custom box I built they sound good, got them wired together at 2ohms running a Orion XTR650.1 think I just might rewire them to 1ohm that 650.1 birth sheet said it will hit 736watts at 12.8 volts

Just get a bigger amp rockville offer's great higher quality amps that's are less then $200.00 you can get a CEA rated 1000 watt RMS amp for around 130$

Not sure on your amp! But monoblocks are the best IMO, depending on how many subs you run, regardless play song turn radio up 3/4 of the way, then set switch to low pass(LPF) adjust it to 30-50hz and increase the gain until sound distortion is heard, turn nob back down just a cunt hair. Set boost to 6db if there new woofers, an down the road when they break in jump to 12db An then you should be able to figure the rest out! Mines set for like 28-50hz give or take.. idk really, cause I just fuck with it until I like it. The HPF, an Full settings aren’t great if you actually want good bass so don’t bother with tryna set switch on either of those. Unless your using an amp for subs an separate one for speakers/tweeters! Some might disagree with this an say I’m stupid, but I have several systems, installed/tuned all on my own without help! Will show anyone that cares 😂 one is 2 12 t5s and a comp 15, 0gauge power an ground wire, 7000watts, in my 01 Chevy 1500 extended cab! Loudest system anywhere near me is mine! 🤷🏻‍♂️, also have a 0gauge setup at 4000w in my 93 Sentra! And a 0 gauge setup capable of 5000w in my Lincoln LS v8! But the v8 is my baby so it’s turned down!

Just got my dual 4 ohm 2500 watt 15” subs. Custom box and I wired it to 1 ohm. I have two amps. One for my highs and mids and the other for the subs. I can’t wait to put it all together and have this shit slumpin I know they about to hit if your 12s got your trunk rattling like that.

Damn Ida gone with triple 8s on the deck to save trunk space but to each his own

Shoot one of the best parts is when you throw some Yoo-hoo in the back and ain’t even got to worry about shaking the van 🤣

I just put me a backup battery in the trunk then hook it up straight to my alternator.

I have one so far getting 3 more for the same car going 4 batteries I’ll upload it soon as the cars ready also how did you fit the wheels did you need a lift

always make sure to read the RMS, not the peak. these speakers are 1,200 watt RMS, so if the amp says 1,200 watts for the RMS (Not peak) itll be perfect

I got 2 regular batteries from auto zone. One in the trunk and under the hood. But I got them both ran straight to the alternator

I talked to Skar myself cuz I got the 1200watt amp that test @1600watt I wanted the 2000 and they said it’ll be too much for them SDRs. They also said that the 1500watt is the best upgrade, their amps put out more power than they rate them.... don’t blow them thangs mayne

Not at all. Make sure you keep your back seat down so air flow can go threw

I'm running 2 12 inch fosgate P3 DVC 4ohm wired to 1ohm. Got this box, skar sk2x12 with the skar rp1200.1 which is about 900rms, 1200w max. subs are 500W rms 1200w max. so with the 2 subs, someone correct me if I'm wrong but it halves the wattage so each sub would get about 450w RMS, 600w max, so a bit less than my subs are rated to handle. In any case, this box seemed to fit the specs of my old P3 subs, yeah I have the old RF P3s from about 10 years back but they've sat unused alot. In any case, the subs were like 300 each and I gave less than 300 total for the empty box and amp. They beat hard and clean. I gotta get an amp on my interior speakers because they can't keep up. I have nice components in front, 6x8s in back, all fosgate but they're running off an alpine w650 so they're getting like 25w RMS. The subs just overpower everything, they're very loud. This is in the trunk of a crown Vic. the lower part, the box is far too big to fit in the spare tire area. Once I get the 4 channel amp wire up to my highs/mids, it should rock really hard. For now it breaks shit with the bass, highs can't keep up. They sound good, just not powerful enough. I can say for certain that my P3s are far louder and cleaner than my buddy who has the same box in a charger trunk but he has the Skar subs, 12 inch that came in the box, I bought the box itself, no subs off Amazon and I'm impressed with the quality. Wish I had got the one with the bed liner deal, but the carpet is nice and it was $$60 less

honestly bro you need a capacitor look UP super caps they 300 bucks but there alot of reserve a high output amp alt will help alot look up the amplifiers amperage rating you want that much on top of what it got to have that power at a more constant those subs are power hungry

I would go with the RP-2000. I have the Rp-1500 on my 2 12 sdr 2400 watts and it’s not giving my speakers its all. I’m most definitely upgrading my amp to the Rep-2000
