I'm using the Tamron tonight for Monday Night Football as my end zone / Touchdown lens. Used it one game before this one also. It’s seriously such an incredible value and versatile lens it’s almost to good to be true. I’ll mainly use it for events and weddings but have no problem using it for most sports as well. If I was starting out and could only get one lens (and had the budget lol) the Tamron 35-150 would be it! Appreciate the video man this is great stuff! That's probably true, however the real benefit of this is that the settings you settle on and never change are very probably quite different to the settings I decide to stick with, so although we never change our own settings, the flexibility it gives across all the customer base is excellent.

You set start and end points and the number of steps in between and set your camera on high-speed shooting. The lens does the rest and creates a set of shots that can be pulled into focus stacking software.

I'm looking to jumping in to the Sony world and I'm considering the ZV-E10 or the A7IV. Because I'll be on a Moto I want to stay minimal so I'd love to hear your thoughts on 2 lenses and which camera. I need to think space and room. I'm not thinking of starting a channel just capturing all the still and moving moments of my travels. Thanks in advance from rainy Vancouver.

If staying minimal is one of the keys, I’d probably go zv-e10, with something like the sigma 18-50 f2.8 or Tamron 17-70 f2.8 and then maybe a longer lens or a prime of your choice. Starting out with a nice mid range zoom like that is clutch though.

I think I'm going for the A7iv but now I have been watching more reviews and thinking about what I will be doing more of Video or Photo and I think the real answer is video. I've been shooting this past fall on my moto using a Hero 10 and I'm liking the process and results. So here's my new question. Should I buy the FX3 instead as I will be shooting more video than photo?I think my Big Trip kit will be 2 GP 10's, either A7iv or FX3 and two lenses (Tamron 17-28 and 28-75) I'd really appreciate your feedback on this. I'll be doing a ride to the tip of South America in 2024.

Other than the cost & convenience of a USB-C port, how is this any different to the Sigma Dock or Tamron Tap-In console? Not only calibrating the lenses, but adjust AF speed has been available for years now. Also an externally placed port is a weather sealing risk, better one the bottom of the mount behind the seal like they do on other models.

Very functional and efficient features! Debating whether pick this slightly bigger 28-75 G2 over the more compact Sigma 28-70 to pair with an A7C. Sigma's bokeh seems smoother, while Tamron's sharpness looks punchier. A7C weighs 510g, the two lenses respectively 540g and 470g. That'd be a killer comparison!
