Good video.. I have me one of those original beetles. Thankfully mine was in pretty good condition when I got it.. I am wondering though what people think about replacing the MSC with an ESC?!?! I changed my hexagon shafts for those ones too.. They work a treat..

Hi Michael, I have the same original Tamiya Monster Beetle which I am also going through a rebuild and upgrade of parts / MSC to ESC, Brushed Motor to Brushless Motor with sensor and cooling fan. Very interested in the universal shaft replacements and how they work out for you. It would be very helpful if you could list all of the part numbers used in the build when completed. Thanks, Andy

In another video I go into a little more detail about the upgrades (kzread.info/dash/bejne/d3WE1MWKnNq8nrw.html) and just uploaded a slightly more detailed video on the universal shafts. Brushless motor and cooling fan sound interesting - any details (or links) for that would be appreciated.
