Notes :
As always with the "Big Suit/Stop Making Sense" Tour, each time Talking Heads performed they were rocking the place upside-down. The band is tight as hell and surfing on success. There's not much to discuss about the band's background here, I've already talked about it in a previous upload.
This bootleg is from the later part of the tour, when they rehearsed and dropped the usual "Crosseyed & Painless" encore. Instead, they performed a VERY RARE live version of "Pull Up The Roots" for the very first time (they performed it only 3 time on this tour, in Plattsburgh, in Burlington and in Providence).
The sound quality is not as great as some other bootleg tapes of the same era/tour, but it doesn't matter since the taper did his best to capture the band and the great performance. Kudos to him !
Talking Heads 1983 were :
David Byrne : lead vocals, guitar, keyboards

Jerry Harrison : keyboards, guitar, vocals
Tina Weymouth : bass, keyboards, vocals
+
Edna Holt : vocals
Lynn Mabry : vocals

I was there, what a fantastic show! They'd spent a week on our campus rehearsing. And partying.

Do you happen to remember David's moves to PUTR? We don't have footage of this song, so it'd be cool to know.

Listening to Ince in a lifetime makes me wonder if they re-recorded the audio for the live version for the movie. because I've never heard another version sound as good as that version.

I'm just curious, but why was the price the same for students and non-students? It wasn't subsidized by our activity fee? When I was a student at the U of Buffalo in 1989, tickets for the B-52s we're only $4 each.

if I remember - either that suit jacket got incredibly bigger as the concert continued, or i got incredibly smaller. Guess they're not mutually exclusive.
