I am tired of everyone creating a 2017 version (slimmed down version) of radical classic shoes like the Reynolds, the Lynx, the Rowley, the Accel and the Kalis. Make the original version and all of us 30 year olds will buy that shit immediately.

I actually just bought the Reynolds 3 G6's and they aren't much different than the originals...it actually has more cushion than the OG's too with the G6 insoles. They're slimmed down just a hair, not much to even notice a difference. I had several OG Reynold's back in the day too, one of my all time fav. skate shoes right next to the original Accels.

tongue is slimmer of course and the toe is different to me. i still like the new ones. i do wish the ogs would reissue with some of the first colorways tho

Es Accel Slims are way better than the big-ass OG. I'm trapped in the 90's like everyone else but puffy shoes look silly.

They really should bring back the original Kalis.

crazy watching this in 2019 and being able to own a pair of Kalis OG

DC should just scrap their shitty surf and snowboard division and focus on making skate shoes 💯 it aint that hard to bring back the Kalis & Lynx models

I think the Rick Howard 2s are the best looking pair of DC shoes ever made.

Bring back the JK7, loved that shoe . The DC wolf is one of my favourite Dc shoes ever .

JostenDooley2 yeah, but as long as it isn't in the way they brought the Lynx back. They need to just slim the sole, remove the excess stuffing from the collar/ tongue/ upper, and they 100% need to keep the airbag.

Its still hard for me to believe what skate shoes have become these days...ALL vulcs and slip ons with cupsoles being completely axed. Fucking crazy. Its also crazy to me that board companies hardly make anything under an 8 anymore. I skated a 7.75. I wanted to start skating again so I went to the skate shop to grab a deck and there wasn't a SINGLE deck there that was under an 8. Shits changed ALOT from my days skating and im not sure if I like any of the change that has happened.

also wasn't JK on Adidas for a minute in the mid 90's? I remember Jamie was talking about how fresh his adidas were. I think the same thing happened to HUF where DC wasn't giving him a shoe but Kalis eventually got his.

Doctor Dollars yeah, that's why Huf ended up getting the awful DVS shoe. That POS was probably the worst thing I ever skated in growing up; the drop in midsole system was an interesting concept, but there was literally no control over your board because of it. They were super stiff and never broke in as well, and I actually ended up skating some pebble grain leather jewel Air Force Ones instead . That's how terrible they were 😂

Enough with the horrid remakes, give the world back the original lynx. Skating in those was the best. I will say though that I preordered the black/gold Kalis lites, really stoked to see how they perform. Heard they skate like the lynx did, so i'm quite excited to see for myself if that's true.

The Kalis JK7 was the best shoe I ever skated but I guess they'll never remake it because there's no nostalgia for it since it was from the mid-late 2000's. These days skate shoes feel way cheaper & less comfortable than they did then though.

Wanna hear something funny Kalis.. My first skate shoe was your pro model.. guess what shoe a ran to for years after.. your pro model lol.. Then I got on my Stevie kick and had a lil more in common with his style so I went with his pro model after that for awhile but both were straight heat then and now!!!

SLB 23 hands down one of the best shoes to skate in but Kalis had some of the best looking skate shoes

Back in the 80's my skate shoes were what ever was on sale at Big 5. I remember getting the OG Jordans there for $20 a pair in various colors. Now the same shoes Nike re introduced and are selling them for $100-$200 a pair? WTF? Been a Vans shoe guy since the late 80's loved the Docket Shoe Vans had of late and now it's cancelled??? Shoes man who would ever know they would be worth something years down the road.

Kalis was the shit but back in the day really didn't like those type of shoes.. circas, globe, dc because they too bulky. The Osiris D3 was the worst skate shoe ever.

Tony Roberts that's why some of us ended up skating non-skate brand shoes. Don't get me wrong, there were still some bigger shoes that were okay to skate in like the Es Accel/ Koston 2, IPath Cats/ Grasshoppers, Converse Chany Pro 1, etc., but for every one of those you had some monstrosities like the DC Verdict or the Es Cyber/Scheme. Those shoes looked like a fucking computer virus on your feet. Idk how the Osiris video The Storm video even came out, they were better off skating some Steve Madden platform shoes. I will say that the shoes of the 90's were a better value as they actually lasted for quite a while. Especially those DC Kalis/ Williams/ Lynx shoes, since they had those bulletproof PAL AB 2000 toe caps. Tbh though, one day we're gonna look back at the 2010's and be like "why were we skating in bullshit shoes that were like wearing socks?" Skating a regular ass pair of Chucks isn't exactly doing your feet any favors, and you have to live with your feet for the rest of your life...

matt molloy the majority of skate shoes back then were better for skating than the paper thin garbage they make these days that'll guarantee to give you heel bruises. Of course there were some bad ones that were more about looks than function but most I wore back then were better than most trending shoes these days that I've worn. As you mentioned, the Accels, one of the all time best shoes. Many 'eS shoes were great back then. DVS made quality shoes as well.

For me I like the look of the shoes and the style but as a skate shoe DC just aren’t my style, I find them too big, the new vans ultra range are so comfy and light weight and easy to skate in

Those were really skate shoes not like nowdays shitty shoes.

The quality of DC shoe's nowadays sucks though.
