i typed in pro skaters from michigan because i live in michigan and josh kalis is from grand rapids michigan. so thats pretty cool because josh kalis is one of my favorite skaters.

i used to have the vhs. kalis is still my favorite

haha, kalis and i used to do our laundry and shit in this apartment these three girls lived in. i don't even remember who was hooking up with who. stoked to see he went so far with skating.

I remember these days. 2000-2001 was when i first started skateboarding. when lines were planned and when you filmed you just went with whatever came to your head. i miss these days.

2:22 , fck. I love nose blunt slides, but i have serious ptsd from it. I was learning them and basically had them down. On a box, i end up sticking the lock and the momentum took me to the concrete , left shoulder, ( momentum) then my face, left front tooth went through my upper lip. I had 3 serious concussions from tht alone. The first from the fall. Then 2 more when at a pay phone calling my parents ( this was the mid to late 90s before cell phones ) , i passed out twice and hit my head.. woke up in a ambulamce. Yea so anyways. Like i said, i have have SERIOUS PTSD from from tht trick. I feel like tht hindered my progression honestly. Tht and breaking my left ankle. ( didnt even know it was broken until yrs later), didnt skate for a few months. Thts when i started skating switch more because i couldnt flick my left foot. Fyi , you can still walk and move with a broken ankle, i should know lol. I thought i just sprained it really bad. It hurt for soooo long, im talking years.

2nd best tre flips behind AVE's switch ones.

oh no sorry man... i was dead serious i thought he switch flipped it. i did a book report on him 10+ years ago and was fighting with my friend recently after rewatcing "love story" about love park. i remember seeing him trying to nollie it. he answered me on twitter and said he never landed it .... sorry i thought you were messing with me

On film, Kalis tried doing a straight nollie into the fountain. You can see it in the opening montage of the ON documentary. I imagine he tried more stuff, but then again he had ankle issues around the time he got on Workshop, so I don't imagine he jumped down that beast of a gap too often.
