They sure don't make music like this anymore!

Smiled when I heard this in the grocery store today. 40 years on and 80s classics are still going strong! I promise you back in 1984 they weren’t playing music from 1944 in the grocery stores. Todays music won’t be playing in stores 40 years from now. I guarantee it. 80’s music is absolutely timeless and I’m so glad I grew up with it.

EXACTLY ! But unfortunately, he's gone. This is so ridiculous ! Dead FAR TOO SOON, far too young. Very much missed !!!! It is very unjust.

Just listen to the first 40 seconds of this song- You can tell it is special.

The very very best of times, i was so lucky (although i did not understand) to be 16 at the start of the 1980's, no phones, no internet, no social media.......... Bliss.

And that’s what pre cellphone concerts were like. People actually watching..

This has turned out to be a classic. What a tune. RIP, Mark.

I blinked for a nano second and 40 years became a memory. I'm glad I was there.

I’m going to have to agree with you 100 percent. I’ve always loved this song, but watching it performed live in the way that Mark Hollis gets into the song, unlike the video, was pretty cool. Plus the audio and video for something 40 years old is absolutely amazing.

And what's really peculiar is at the time this was considered New age pop lol Believe it or not early '80s this was actually way ahead of its time anything that was synthesized or driven with Simmons drums or a programmed drum track was way way ahead of its time we were just coming out of '70s soul Zeppelin and some of the earliest 1980s and mid to late '70s rock and roll artists so this was actually called Progressive and New Wave at that time

Wonderful musicians! I am a 71 year old grandmother. My favorite decades - 60’, first half of the 70’s and the 80s. Great music during those years!

The way the crowd reacts and claps along makes this even better. I always loved Mark's goofy persona and seemingly down to earth way he came across in their videos. RIP, Mr Hollis. You gave people a gift that was honest and meaningful.

Great live version. Probably the closest you could get to the original on any live performance of any band. Great memories to hear this again.

....the creativity of todays music is stand still of musical noise. It goes with the age. Musicians today are uninspired, deterred for fame, glory, money..etc. There's no catapult for wanting to create on larger scale. The 70's/80's generation was a rush of genius creativity. It was music for the people, by the people creating a collective experience. As we can see. when we look back. The further we move away. The more its appreciated. As for myself, more I miss.
