Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Keep on fixing her up!!! Would love to see more content on the Bronco!
Years ago, I had a 1983 Bronco with the 300ci, four speed, posi rear end. An economical stump puller that would go anywhere... Onward!
When you opened the hood on that Bronco, it looked so much like my '85 K-5 Blazer! I replaced that ridiculous "feedback" carburetor with an Edelbrock 650cfm 4bbl with mechanical linkage, and Edelbrock air filter and an Edelbrock "performer" intake manifold. It's only a 305 engine, but what a difference! I've owned it now for 25 years, and it's never given me a minutes trouble, other than replacing normal maintenance items. Hope your Bronco can give you the satisfaction my Blazer has! (PS: it also has the factory "heavy duty suspension" and it rides like it, too!) God bless and good luck!
Instead of welding the rear diff, you could install a separate hand-brake line to the wheel that likes to spin more, if you ever get stuck you yank that hand brake and you'll get all the torque to the other wheel.

Damn, that's not a bad idea! I've never heard of that before, but that would be dope if it works!
More bronco!!
This Ford Bronco project is shaping up to be a great one ..... Great job 🎥 update
When you started doing circle donuts it was a instant subscribe . 6:30
Limted slip in the rear + Lunch box stuffed in front = Fairly capable daily driver
I had a 82 f150 mud truck. 300 six, 4 speed, Dana 44 front with lockers, 9 inch rear with lockers, 4.11 gears, 3 inch lift with 35 inch tires. Thing was a beast never did get stuck with it. Me and my buddies would go mudding and we would go 2wd until we needed 4wd. Usually the guy in front would need 4wd and it would follow in line to everyone putting it in 4wd. My truck well most of the time I would get moving again in 2wd. I was the only one with lockers. Only bad part about having a truck like that is if a buddy goes out and plays by himself and gets stuck I was the first one to get called. Still at 2 in the morning I was always ready to go help.
That Bronco sounds fantastic and did surprisingly well. Even just new tyres should make a difference.👍👌😁
A Limited Slip Differential is a great upgrade for any truck.
LIke the guy a few posts ago said, throw a set of lunchbox lockers in the dif's and see the differance!
If that had traction control it would be unstoppable. Probably why I like your Land Rover so much.
The content you provide on your channel is most informative, please keep-up the excellent work Steve!
Absolutely loves this truck!!! I wanna see more of it when you fix her up some more !!!! 💕💋
Let's see you turn that bronco into a offroad beast
Great series, great videos and a fantastic host. Keep it up!
I just bought an 83 Bronco, so these videos these videos are really helpful for what to look for.
Yes more on the bronco and on the Nissan ! Bring the, back a bit closer to daily drivers ! Great job! 👍🇨🇦
More Bronco, It's Great to watch
New tires and possi dif your ready to go. Nice, thanks from Georgian Bay.
Good morning from Washington state friend, my car is 1984,but everything looks like your car, I need a lot of work on it,keep up the great work, I'm watching your videos and subscribed already 👍 😀

I was really surprised that you let that thing go. Seems like a pretty solid truck
Love the bronco content! Not enough full size bronco content on KZread. Keep up the good work!
Had an 86 Bronco XLT. Miss that truck! Was a 302 EFI with an AOD. Mine had a lsd in the 8.8. Never got stuck!
It's totally worth doing more content on it. The rear window regulator is a common issue with these trucks. Must be why the former owner just removed it. Fixing the exhaust and getting new tires, it'll be awesome
Keep the Bronco videos coming
Need to see more of this Bronco

She's beautiful great video man love it!! Thanks Steve
I would love to see a series of you fixing this up. I think everyone does. Its awesome
Great improvements. More Bronco please!!
Since you're going in there anyway, instead of welding the diff and having the possibility of grenading on you, it's cheap enough to order a mini-spool for that series of Ford diff, and have posi all the time.
Makes me miss mine. Great rigs
Those broncos are a good looking truck imo.
Nostalgia... In high school and college I had an '84 Bronco with a straight six and a four speed. That is the one vehicle I regret selling, even 22 years later. I suggest some kind of locker in the rear. I had a lunchbox locker in the rear diff, made that truck unstoppable! Plus I kinda liked the ratchet sound when I made tight turns on pavement.
Great video and truck😎
Love the bronco brother. I have a 86 that I'm in the process of fixing.
Love the Bronco. I used to have a 92 Bronco that was awesome off road. With a good set of tires, you’ll be surprised.
Amazing outcome for a truck bound for the crusher.
Thank you again.
Great video, thanks for sharing! This is more a going ta woods than going ta town truck, so I'd say air locks (ARB or similar) front and aft would make it best capable.
I just found your channel. Good stuff.
Sure wud love to see more of the Bronco Wud make some good stuff !!
Sweet video Steve can't wait for the next one on the old girl
You know your stuff Steve 👍
Sweet old Bronco 👌
We luv it...more pls :)
Nice job on the Bronco it seems to work well
I'm liking the bronco videos.
Keep donig your video's its very good Stay safe and warm Good Luck sir
Please do more videos on this Bronco!
Nice job brother
More Bronco please and thanks.
Steve....definitely interested in more Bronco content...and I'm a 100% British car man too but really enjoy the Bronco videos
Nice video! Is that a public ORV area and if so where is it located?
Part of the single wheel spinning situation is that the pinion gear tries to climb the ring gear. That will unload the right rear and the left front. Various solutions to this problem exist ( $$$ ).
I run a Yukon grizzly locker in the rear of both my jeeps. They work great on and off the road.
Hi Steve, often wondered when your stuck on ice or mud with open diffs would light brake pressure stop the spinning wheels some giving more torque to the wheels driving ?- as always thanks for your videos.. At least they make me think about things eh - Ian -- UK.
You could build a nice weekend wheeler out of that! Keep up the good work!
The old Bronco done good, what are your thoughts on the new Bronco Ford has recently come out with?
More bronco content please
Full speed ahead! Had one. Liked my ramcharger better. Love your channel!
I would absolutely want to see more on this Bronco. Especially so if you install a traction lock in the rear differential. With some good off road tires, and a posi in the rear, with the excellent ground clearance the bronco has it will be a good competitor off road.
Thanl God you got rid of that fake scoop anf fixed the dash.Keep doing her up.Great lookin truck
Man I kinda liked that scoop on the hood 😅
sweet Bronco
how do you manage the cargo area with only one door (rear-seats-down) (2D vs 4D) ?
For an advanced geek this makes perfect sense but for me, a noob it's a "little" more difficult. My question is very simple for a professional ,I have a 1986 bronco XLT , 351W engine and a C6 tranny. When I bought the truck it did not have a carburetor. Little research revealed that it had a Holley 4180-C . I plan to install a Edelbrock 1906 and I have no idea what vacuum hoses I need to hook to the new carburetor for street drive ... I've done so much research and still I could not find an answer to my simple question...Thanks for posting!
It looks like it did very well. New tires should make it much better. That looked like a really fun trip!
What a cool little 4x4, keep fixing it for cheap !
Great run , need locker in rear , mud tires. Keep it up
Impressive with bad tires and open diff! More Bronco improvements please.
Hell, I want the Bronco, lol!

@@ThisWeekWithCars would be an expensive project. Cost of the Bronco, the parts.... the divorce and child support for 5 kids. She hates my 1984 F250 and woodworking/welding/fabrication/small engine repair shop enough. 🤣
Chingon bro
So is there a long term plan? Are you going to 'fix' the single drive function to make it a truly off road vehicle or just keep it as is?
Could you cram a lunchbox/detroit locker on there? I heard they're an inexpensive solution, as long as it's not your daily driver
Diff could simply be worn. Rule of thumb on Ford is check the door decal. There is a 2 character axle code. If it is 2 numbers, open diff. Letter followed by number, limited slip.
I love Broncos I have two 92 bronco plow trucks. And I’m going to rebuild them and make them nice. They both need quarters and rockers and floors and fenders because of rust and salt. But they are still reliable
I have an '84, it was my Grandfathers. You are right, they do drive "big". The short wheelbase makes them use all the road. That lift kit didn't help. The rear window motor is the same as one for the doors. I cannot remember if it is left or right. It is an easy fix. Make sure to rust proof the inside of the tailgate while you are there.
Make more videos on the Bronco. 🌶🔥
Of course we want more 😅😅😅
That bronco should have a 9in rear end mini spool for a 9in is literally like 20 bucks from speedway
More Bronco video's please.
Yes please I actually have a 1985 bronco XLT with the 351w in it it’s my baby and I finally have someone that I don’t mind watching to give me info and content with a bronco identical to mine
I always thought wheel locks on front axles actually made it so the 2 front wheels spin together
@jonathanz4987

The locks just connect each wheel hub to the differential. Locked-in is just like the rear axle with an open differential.
@pminoregon9072
3 жыл бұрын
I drove a 1985 Ford pickup with the same setup. If the hubs were locked and you engaged the transfer case the front tires would scrub during turns on dry pavement. It all depends on how the front axle is configured as to whether the wheels slip with the hubs locked.
Had a 86 Ford Bronco and got stuck coming off a beach on Cape Cod. Prone to rusting but what didn't in those days.
Yes please do video on making it a limited slip or other
@gregferguson9987

Still got around pretty good tho
I wut love to own one !!
That's strange about the differentials, I own an '89 and I used to own a '91 Bronco(4th generation) and they both came equipped from the factory with limited slip differential. The third generation(bull nose) yours must not have? If yours is the 8.8 inch differential, they are fairly inexpensive and easy to find. Ford put them in the Explorers, they are easy to swap out. While you're in there change your axel/wheel bearings and seals. That way the whole rear end is essentially new. P.S. you need a slide hammer to get the wheel bearing out. And don't forget the friction modifier.
Well I told you to crush that thing. Lol but since you went ahead and opened pandora's box. Good luck with it. Just remember if you throw enough money at a problem it usually goes away. Hahaha. I'm just kidding with ya. Hope you have a lot of fun with the bronco.
5:20 -- if you put it in 4hi or 4lo and lock both front hubs, then won't both front wheels be turning in this snow against-berm experiment ?
@ThisWeekWithCars
3 жыл бұрын
No the locking hubs are now t differential lockers. The locking hubs only engage and disengage the front wheels from the driveshafts. The differential is not affected by locking hubs.
Factory style limited slip in the rear, lunchbox in the front, real tires, skid plates.... then clean up the interior and deal with the rear window.
Going well considering the lack of 4x4
Diagonal wheel spin is usually what stops a lot of 4wd without LSD or diff locks. Surprisingly stabbing the brakes very quickly with your left foot can transfer drive from the spinning wheel to the wheel with traction. I tested this once by parking my 4wd on sand and completely digging under two diagonal wheels. Not sure how you would operate the truck with the diff “welded up” Fine on loose dirt and snow but you’d be stuffed doing a u turn on a hard surface. You’d be scrubbing tyres or snapping something else. A limited slip diff is limited not locked. On demand diff locks are a different thing again. I expect you understand all this stuff but some of your viewers may not. Perhaps an explanation of the pros and cons would be a good subject for another video.
