I absolutely loved my old samurai. But it was not very comfortable to take on longer distances. It could go over almost anything stock but was a really bumpy ride. If you want something comfortable, be prepared to spend a lot of time and work on it. The cherokee is a good platform as well. It is bigger but is still a relatively small rig. If you plan on driving it for long distances to trails or camping and things of the like, get the cherokee. If you plan on making a trailer queen that you take on a trail to trails, get the samurai!

So let me guess the premise here. "Hey guys, we have this old Bronco that we're gonna get running and do a few mods so we can hit the trail. And we have 3 days to do it." On a show that comes out once a month. And that's why I didn't renew my subscription. Because there are too many episodes that feel like they're mailed in. Like they don't even want to be bothered making it in the first place. Check out 4WD 24/7 if you want really good offroad stuff. Those guys down under are a great group and they make incredibly good content.

I LOVE 4WD 24/7. Been watching them for YEARS!!! They inspired me to start my own build and my own channel. Love it!

I don't off-road, but I'd imagine it's easier to hop in and out.

A lot easier for seeing around and under the vehicle. that being said, I don't really like taking my doors off my jeep when I go out wheeling and filming. Gets muddy and dirty everywhere!

I would so much rather have a 60's era Bronco than a plastic computer with wheels and a "BRONCO" label slapped on it.
