My dad always says a car should stop before it goes. Being able to stop faster is always a good thing. It might even keep you from wrecking your ride you know? 👍
Holy crap! They got Mark acknowledging the KZread audience. Smart move.

Say hi to Tom for me Tim
When I was a kid, my neighbor had a 69 Z28, 4 speed and a DZ302. It was this crazy orange with white stripes. To this day my favorite car ever!

I had the chance to by a '69 Z28 as my first car in 1988. It was $5000 and looked great. Had the cash but my Dad said no. He said it'd kill me and the insurance would be too high. :-(

@@JerryDLTN When I got my license at 16, my friends brother was selling a Red Cutlass convertible with a 455 and 4 spd. My dad took a look under the hood and said "No fkn way"😂 So I feel your pain but my father was right, I was all balls and no brains back then 😜

Jerry Lifsey My dad did the same thing back in 78 when I looked at a 70 Boss 302 Mustang, and a 69 Z28...guess the old guys knew. I settled for a 73 Type LT RS Camaro...I finally got a 69 RS/SS with a ZL2 hood when I was 33. Didn’t need the old mans permission then. LOL!
I've been watching this Chanel for so long and I haven't disliked any of the episodes this would have to be my favorite Chanel on KZread because I can watch and love watching, and also learn a lot
A 427 crate motor would be nice....
I remember the Camaro this vintage when New. Love the work you fellas do. :)
I love this car, even before all the upgrades. But now, it's a perfect cruiser.
Some people turn their nose up at restomods. I personally love them. I think it's great to see these vehicles surviving and driving as a daily again. I wish I still had my 1971 Pontiac T-37. I would throw an LS in it and put modern underpinnings in it in a heartbeat. I would probably drive it every day again. Now if it was an early 69 Trans Am....... You BETTER restore that mutha funka back to original. There are some rides that need to be preserved.
@squidusn71

Depends if that 69 trans am have all the original parts left in it. If it's just a shell, by all means cut away and stuff a modern drivetrain and suspension.
The car is coming together very well guys keep doing what y'all do
no doubt some of the best videos out there!!!! one thing I would love to see,as an industrial supply sales rep for 15 yrs.i always am quick to observe the final details on most things.i wish u guys would use all domestic grade 8 fasteners on all assemblies.just a suggestion, keep up the great work.ya’ll keep me entertained on 12 hr shifts in South Korea, thank u and God bless ur channel👍
That subframe is seriously so cool
Wheels made it pop out nice 🙌
Ist time watching you guys kept my attention very hard to do give you guys props
excellent video and very good parts used... I learn some stuff here! The wheels though, in my opinion, this Camaro needed something more retro looking!
IT LOOKED GOOD AT FIRST NOW ITS BAD ASS GREAT JOB GUYS.....
Heidt's suspension is a great company and I've been to their fall open house car show a few times and they have a impressive facility with some quality suspension products. Their subframes, rear suspension options, along with their independent rear suspension sets ups are works of art. This Camaro should handle great and that updated subframe is something I wanted to do on mine, but just couldn't swing. Rest Mods can be murder on the budget.
Great video Cant wait to see more
Man, that's some really nice modern, high tech going into her. I like that stuff. Whole lot better systems besides the wagon wheels, it retains the stock look.
That car is going to be so great! Really like the engine concept. Not over the top which would be so easy to do.
Love powernation!
I want this car.....great referbing guys! Enjoyed the video!
nice build, gotta love seafoam too; saved a couple of high mileage rides
you are like wizards. cheers from Brasil!
So how fast is that Seafoam graphic coming off if you all win? As soon as it's home for me. 🤣

They want too much personal information just to enter. In these days of identity theft, I don’t want my name, address, birthdate and phone number floating around in the Ethernet.

You didn't read the fine print...it says that in order for you to keep the vehicle, that stuff need to stay on as part of their advertisement.
Tommy is so much fun to watch.
Any kind of motor for me, I'm walkin' 😂...
Beautiful!!!
Wow that’s a wonderful setup ... but I love the old school look but gonnna have new school ride comfort
Love this CAR!!
Was watching an older episode of Muscle car and was wondering if it was just me or did Tommy have much better Chemistry with Rick then he does with Marc? Those episodes felt like 2 dudes building a car and having a blast doing it. This feels like 2 coworkers building a car to me, still fun to watch but not the same :) . Of course I've been known to be wrong before :)

rcandminilover yeah tommy has a good TV personality and is a hell of a fabricator. Marc doesn’t have as good a presence. Of course the master is and will always he Lou :)
No smoke shows with MY new Camaro. 🍺👍
Never apply silicon or silicon/gasket before installing the crown and pinion gear set. You may disturb or smudge the silicon, necessitating touching up or redoing your work. Work systematically, in other words in an orderly manor.Great video, and keep up the good work.
Every time I watch TV hotrod shows they build $140,000 cars in an industrial building, with a lift. IDEA: rent a 2 car garage and lay on the floor like the rest of us and show how it's done at home, on a tight budget.
That’s a nice Camaro.
You should have went with a Flaming River quick ratio manual rack on that. Could have put in an IRS as well.
Nice car
Beautiful car, I would love to have it.
It's is beautiful job guys 69
You guys are something else...I would work in this shop for minimum wage...)
Like the look. Would like the old parts. Will pay for shipping . Or road trip to will call them.
Sick
Tommy sounds just like my uncle in Travelers Rest.
good lookin car, shop , parts. $$$$$$
could you share some tips to pass emission test ondiesel cars....
Would that set up work good on my 69 firebird with a ls3 superchared engine???.and may i say beautiful set up and ride....
Can't believe they are using Grade 5 hardware !!
2:08 mark: Tommy asks, what's that firing order?? Mark, uh 1, 2, 6, 9, 4, 7 ,3. o_0 hmmm we've lost cylinders 5 and 8, but gained a 9th cylinder... >_
Looking damn good now if only they made improvements parts for older trucks
Shoulda put an all aluminum 427 with fi in that Camaro. That would have kept me tuned in.
I am waiting for some reason to see the Regal finished - they just had to put it all together.
first car was a grand dad ride.love my 69 no doubt, would be great to see some one rebuild a original, you know they weren't that bad in the day guys, just took a driver to handle um on friday nights hahah.i know you have sponsers to make happy but a original restore would be great . buy the way the chicks dug them 69's best lol
Like like Pat lost some weight!
Do they have this complete series on KZread?
Awesome
Maaaaaan, could you imagine Tommy as a shop instructor...OMFG
Add frame connectors, toss the crap in the tube and get a Lube locker gasket. Why not clean the inner floor up before bolting those brackets in? Clean, prine and paint it first.
This should be a square setup for better handling Staggered is more for looks or to create more understeer or for mid engine cars
lol!!🌚luv this show 4 years...👍
it would be cool to see if you could turbo a volvo b230 redblock and take out crazy hp numbers
Never seen a drift Camaro till now
love to see them work on a steam turbined engine.
LOL LOL ( It'll all fall out from under you LOL HE AINT LIENG )
sbc powered 69 camaro.. sweet.
You ever notice these guys flap their arms like sea gulls when they talk. Lol.

Can you put the link to Heidst front and rear suspension kits
1,2,6,9,4,7,3... LOL.
That car looks like his name should be Slickback
I notice you didn't use or want air suspension. Is there a major price, performance, or weight difference when you go to air?
It's great to see that they have 2000 watt 6 bye 9's in the back deck with high power speaker cables! Yeah!
Great episode, but surprised they are using those cheap low strength bolts grade 5 when grade 8 are so common and much better quality.
It's crazy to think that one of us is going to own that car.
Why not add sub-frame connectors as well . . while you were at it?

Anyone know the Wheel/Tire Backspace/Offset? 20s are a bit much for me, but a set of 18s would like darn nice. Thanks in advance.
Where I can get the kit for the same camaro, can you s3nd me a link thank you
Powernation, you guys should do an engine build off against Gas Monkey Garage.
Does that guy need to have so many pens in his pocket?
Why didn’t you guys add subframe connectors ?
Like this
So are these new shows?
Is there a company that makes these Sub Frame Kits for a 1970 Cuda ?
Look at us it only takes 4 hrs to completely restore a classic car with unlimited money.....😂😂 Beautiful car though!
I would have used grade 8 nuts, bolts and washers on the rear suspension.
What size set up on the tires? height width depth?
does anyone know who won the drawing for the 1969 Sea Foam Camaro?
Giving Away!? I want in!
Is that a 302 with the intake painted?
As a school bus driver, I'd rather drive the Camaro in the condition it was in lol
Is it possible to make 1000hp with a 383 SBC with a stock block?
Grade 5 Bolts???? hope they're for mock up only as i wouldn't trust them on a hard launch or curve in the road JS pretty stuff btw
Man, I missed Tommy!
I appreciate that they talk about the Hemi at 4:26, but stock 6.2? It's 6.1 guys. The Hellcat is 6.2L
Would've made more sense to install the motor and transmission in the front crossmember assembly then install it as a complete unit to the chassis.

6 bolts and it is back out.
Seafoam has great products, you need to try Seafoam for lots better running engine.
What about primer for the holes?
XING Mobility has an EV kit in a '69 Camaro. Can you do an EV kit in a '80 Corvette?
I would had kept the stock wheels since they are so much in defining a Camaro.
Whts price on all the stuff they did??
Why didn't they just wait to put the motor in sub-frame before putting it back up in the body?
