Haha, I agree. I’m all for letting people check out the car, but you just never know at the dealership - crazy things can happen lol. My man Bradley had them put it in the body shop overnight since they are closed on the weekends so it was out of the line of fire before they delivered it.

You're a smart man for having it delivered untouched. Worked at a Honda dealer for 12 yrs and we would've loved having this for the PDI etc. I wouldn't want anyone else touching my FL5.

Love it! Definitely going to get one. Will happily pay sticker, so I may be waiting a while till the hype dies down. Waited about 5 years for the 2020 model year until I could get my GT350R at sticker. Only thing I would change is have a middle rear seat like the regular Civic.

Make sure you remove the 6 rubber spacer block tie-wrapped on the front springs (3 on each side). Absolutely paramount 😊 got the same CW ❤

Signed my contract in Aug 0f 2022. Dealership invited me to check out their only 2022 red FL5R that arrived in September. Otherwise nothing to do but wait till my allocation sometime in mid to late 2024.

Congratulations on your purchase. I think it's a Great car after the pandemic all inflated. It's not a too affordable car but it's a sport car with space in rear seat at least for 2 people. Best option of sport car inn2023. I'm hoping to get one after hype, hoping to get one later, of it's pre- owned with low miles it's acceptable. Also, hoping you paid the MSRP, with no market adjustments mark ups. Please, we need to stop this trend of overpaying for a car that's supposed to be affordable. Please, customer let fix the auto market again.

Nice, I got a white one too they get dirty fast. 7300 miles and 3 oil changes on mine already had since Dec 12th. Number 905 trying to hit 10k miles so I can tear it apart. Any extras added? I got the carbon spoiler, rain guards, forged rims, rubber floor and trunk mats, and lit door sills final cost was 76k cash.. top speed is 183 ;) but with wind resistance on the road going past 160 its slooooow.

Apparently Chevy drills the holes into the bumper eat the dock depending where it goes. Was not a fan. I guess I can color match plugs. But still not the same. Love that car!

Did you get from showroom? Usually dealers run through the car wash before putting in lot or for display.

I can't afford a type r with that 55k 60k mark but I'm waiting on my white 2023 accord ex still happy and excited for me it's a dream car even a accord can't wait , what's that think called that protects your car from rust paint scratches etc I want to get it done byw congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 honda❤

Championship white is more of an off white with a slight hue in certain lighting.

Sweet man, they’re worth the wait! The garage is 800 sq ft total and I have an additional two car garage. Forget the exact dimensions the house is the Paulson Floor plan by Richmond. Just don’t build with them they were horrible.

@@JeffAshton awesome thanks! That helps me a lot because I was thinking ill probably need something about 24ft wide but after seeing your 16.7ft wide it looks like it's plenty wide and rounding up, a 17ft wide will be much cheaper to build then a 24ft wide lol.

WISHED I had paid MSRP… but I love this car. Unfortunately I forgot to tell them not to wash it and remove the temporary film it had…. So yeah all that was off when I picked it up. I did take it to a paint correction place. Gonna do a ceramic coating soon. Already have about 3500 miles on it and yes I have driven it crazy a few times. This car is a monster on the road 😈😈😈.

How do you remove that coating on the hood and the roof?

Nice ride ! I would wash then clay bar it first then polish then wax ! U don’t need the PPF a good wax will protect it !

Definitely need PPF, ceramic coating and wax doesn’t stop rock chips. I’m too OCD to have it peppered with chips.

Congrats, it’s a beautiful car. White is my top 2 choice along with sonic grey. In my opinion, boost blue is not very attractive blue and makes the car look cheap. I’m not into red or black cars but I would take it over the boost blue.

How much ADM did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

Victory honda is my local honda dealership, and for 54k i rather jump into an Acura tlx type s, more luxury and the awd system and the v6 alone is a better option in my opinion.. But good looking civic type r.

Nice man, yeah I didn’t pay 54k, not sure who you dealt with but normal sales associates are typically just order takers (not actually a true sales person). You have to negotiate with the right person - I would call up Bradley if you are trying to secure their next allocation.

I have never driven a type r civic but i am sure they are amazing to drive and have plenty of room for the family.

You do not need a title to register a vehicle in Florida. Tennessee should be sending the MSO and related paperwork to your tax collector's office. You have 30 days to apply for tag.

This and the Golf R are prob the comparisons, But they both are an R. So like your son said, they got the R so its tight. Haha

I’ve got a 2018 Acura RLX so I’m partial to the tremendous quality in Honda Products. The RLX 2018-20 are the last sedans built in the Mother Plant in Sayama, Japan. However the Toyota GR Corolla is hands down a better value than the the Civic Type R any way you slice it!

But the interior difference is big tho. Even if you don't care about that, your gonna spend a lot of time in the car. In the CTR you forget you're in a Civic vs the budget interior of the Corolla that doesn't let you forget you're in a Corolla.

15-20k over? I haven't see that since they day they started being sold. My brother got one for 5k over in Michigan and Another friend got one for 5k over in Indiana.

Yep, that was the asking price in January/February here in Florida. I called every dealer in Florida and plenty of out of state dealers with allocations. Lowest I found in Florida was 8k after trying to negotiate them down from 10k. Saved thousands going out of state.

Some dealers honestly won’t listen - most of those are the ones selling at 10k plus over. You’re paying more and they are already sitting on their showroom getting plenty of traffic inside and out. Some in Florida have sat for around month.

I do however troll back, when somebody is trolling which is what it seems like you’re doing now. I wouldn’t have bought an FK8 back then and am still not a huge fan of the body style.
