Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

What are your thoughts on the new FL5 vs the FK8?
@Scout-xw1uk
Жыл бұрын
I definitely think that the FL5 has a much more matured and refined design in comparison to the FK8, I do think that after you pointed out the rear end thats I’ve noticed it more but none the less it’s such a fantastic package and design.

The FL5 is the Type-R for adults! So much more mature and refined in every way, but still with the Type R heart

It's like comparing an EF vs an EG. Two entirely different chasis. Both amazing and both have a cult following. Fl5 is better tho lol😂

FK is best looking and best FWD Honda has ever made. Fk8 had captured the dreams of mature and younger ordinance with its crazy aggressive look while having that turbo vtec for those who never owned one but always wanted one when they were young. I've owned many DC2 and Da6 integras. from type r, type r turbo in the early 2000 then going to 500hp turbo setup. Then H22a R swap H2B. Then I went to try other Jdms. But I love that unique rawness about the Hondas and the economical way that you dont feel guilty driving to work every day been unnoticed while when the right time comes, you can thrash the car to its limits whenever you please and knowing that it won't fall apart on you.
I love how open most tuner shops in Japan seem to be. Letting visitors make videos on the premises is so cool

So glad you are giving regular youtube content another go, I'm abosolutely loving every video. Somewhat tangentially related; the other thing I would love is to maybe buy some speedhunters merch at some point soon? EDIT: Finished the video. Definitely enjoyed but some specifics about what they have done to their FL5 would be interesting as well.

Our generation is so spoiled with people like Dino that produce content of this nature. I remember the death of print being as scary as Y2K but watching things done to this level provides the same feeling I used to get thumbing through pages of images with text I couldn't read. Thank you!

I love the rear end of the FL5. Perhaps a small duck bill extention on the lower deck lip might add some flare.
7:19 that's probably the best angle on this new generation imo, both for the hatch and sedan. The FL1 looks so much better than the FK7 from this angle too, the craziness in the FK8 however came together well and the car looked good. But I'd still prefer FL5 looks over the FK8. Also 2:36 that Accord is love, probably a Euro R. Sad you didn't show it..

Getting a closer look at that engine building room was great. One of the cars located up on the 2nd floor (actually raised up above the 2nd floor) appeared to be a S800. Is that the car that is owned by Spoon's founder? I would love to get a closer look it some day.

I also agree with you on the rear design of the new gen civic in general. even before the type R was released, I said to my self at Honda, no matter what they do with the type r, as long as its based on the normal model rear hatch design, its going to let the car down. And then 12 month later I see the type R ..😅

@Dino DC 😄 And the same with the new integra. I can't believe they can make what was so iconic with the da6, dc2, to this current design..
Maybe the FL5-R is a strong package for the money in Japan, but once it's delivered in the UK it's just shy of £50,000. I remember when £50k was M3 money... Very cool place, though. As a DC5 owner this is on my Japan bucket list!
