Congratulations!! That is so awesome!! I bought a 2019 Civic Type R new in April of 2019 and have put 15,000 miles on it in the 3 and a half years of ownership! I am really hoping to get a fl5 from the dealership I bought my fk8 from! Prior to my Type R I owned 4 different new civic Si’s! I bought a 2009 Si, a 2012 Si, 2014 Si and a 2017 Si all sedans!! I have had amazing experience with Honda the last decade Plus!! I am so happy for you and look forward to watching more of your amazing content!!

Stage 1 or 2 paint correction depending on the severity of the swirls. I told dealership do not take off any of plastic and run it through their rubbish wash. Xpel is some of the best PPF around and would highly recommend having ceramic pro put on as well. At 9 miles they definitely took it for a joy ride for their PDI!!! Hate to break the news to you.

Ppl should not be paying more the msrp. If the car doesn't sell, then honda will crack down on dealers to not mark them up. But owell there will always be ppl out there that want it and want to be the first to own and whatever. Sorry about my rant. Congrats on the car, absolutely a beautiful car!

Very nice TYpe-R in BBP. Still enjoying the car and the color choice? Lesson learned - request from dealer to not touch/prep the car prior to delivery. Toyota dealer agreed few years ago on a Tacoma purchase, so I was the only one to wash it.

Congrats on the new car, love the color choice! As for the condition of the vehicle I get it, frustrating to buy a new car with paint wear. Not sure if this will be a daily for you or not but over the years I have relaxed on the condition of my daily drivers to keep from too much frustration. All my daily drivers get auto washes as well. I do clear bra them to prevent rock chips but the paint, door trim and tail lights for example are hammered with swirl marks from auto washes. For the toys I hand wash and try to drive during good weather and away from harm (no Walmart parking lots for example) if possible.

The fl5 looks the same as my boost blue sport except there's no huge spoiler on the back of my car. Even the inside of my car looks the same as the fl5 except my bucket seats are black with white stripes with all black carpets with weather floor pads in my car. But congrats on the picking up for a boost blue fl5. 👏

The real issue is you guys dont have patience and keep paying. Leave them on the lot. And watch the price go to where it should be. But i guess thats easier said than done when every one wants the new new immediately.

At least the steering wheel isnt all marked up.

@@BuyYourBuild thats what pisses me the most off , i went in recently here in PNW in the south tacoma honda dealership with 15k markup and tried to negotiate and trade in my s2k because i need something more practical and the mark up is already pain enough but then they try all this bs tricks on you on top which makes the whole experience even worse. i tried to get them down to 10k which is still painful but they didnt moved a inch . offered me 18k on my ap1 with 96k miles . i really hope the future is like tesla, i go online and just pick some options and push the purchase button. i hate this whole experience buying a car in america.

And this is why dealers are winning. There's always someone willing to pay them what they want.

Not a bad color choice on the fl5 but If I had to choose,the boost blue on the fk8 just looks way more better especially with the body style of the fk8 and the aggressiveness it has but still the fl5 is not bad of a car. Congrats man!!

Ok I appreciate the review and congrats on your Type R…. However I need to say I hope you didn’t pay much over MSRP for a Honda Civic (Type R or not). $45k plus you can get a much better car, or a decent down payment on an entry level Porsche pre-owned. You do realize you pissed away anything over MSRP ($7k? $12k? Shit dude…) So how much did you put down? How much is your car note? Do you own or rent your home? Do you have responsibilities like a family? Kids in private school, and or a mortgage? What do you do for a living? How’s your income to debt ratio? I take it you live in California. I ask because I see many young guys (KZreadrs) posting reviews of Type R’s yet I see them living in a town home or apartments with young children. Yes it’s fun to drive a Type R but really responsibilities should take priority over your superficial needs. I’m mean it’s your money, do as you please but living on maxed out credit and owning/financing a vehicle that takes up more than 50% of your net income is not a wise decision.
