Yo! Let’s goooo! Got my Sport Touring Hatch in the shop now getting ceramic coated and tinted at 15% (strip across the windshield) - yours with 20% is looking killer. I got the Rallye Red but I can imagine it’s gonna look just as nice as it does on the Boost. Awesome stuff man!

I’ve snagged a white 23 type R in MO for 6k over. You gotta hunt hard. I’ve contacted over 700 dealers. For real ! First car ever paying over sticker for. I’ve always bought below sticker/ below invoice but all that was before covid

@@karumban that’s weird, I’ve seen a couple other people say the same thing. These dealerships are getting insane at this point, I remember when evo x first released and everyone was flocking to a couple dealerships in Cali because they were selling at MSRP while dealers in Midwest and Northern/East Coast states were getting charged more.

Bought my 2022 Civic Si from Theo at white plains honda! He’s a great guy had a great experience!

Yea I’ve been looking for one in black but after calling every Honda in Lehigh valley just to keep hearing almost 70k for a car they don’t have ended up waiting to see if this one in jersey gets one cuz they said first come first serve but won’t be 20k markup

Thanks! Havent driven this one enough but definitely love it more! I can't wait for driving season again so we can really test it out. The interior is light years more advanced and better quality materials.

Boy I bet that was expensive doing the whole car in PPF….what did it cost to do the whole car? I’m taking mine in this next week for the entire front which is gonna be 2500 and then will do some paint correction and ceramic coating. It’s gonna be around 4K total. They use xpel PPF as well so that’s good to see. I was thinking about the Llumar/suntek brand of PPF but it’s all good this shop I went with uses xpel

I put a piece of laminate on the tint so the inspector doesn't scrape the tint off

I’m based in NY state, so I’m scared to tint the windows ugh but I want to so bad. I know my Championship White would look awesome with all the windows tinted. But my number one question right now would be how you gonna put the front plate????? NJ and NY does require you to have a front plate. Yes i don’t know how I’m gonna put the front plate on my FL5

I say do the tints. I’ve been running tints and never had an issue with cops in nyc or upstate ny. Then again I was running 35%. My issue is some inspection spots don’t wanna pass it. After 2 spots I found one in queens that doesn’t care lol

Hey! $7500 is slightly better than what I got mine for, and I would expect the dealer to offer you $42-43k on trade in (based on wholesale data), which is basically MSRP on a new one! The FK8 holding value so well is also another reason why it makes no sense for dealers to sell FL5 at MSRP. If you trade in, you also get sales tax savings so I would do it!

So ur getting into a type R for essentially like 3k? If that's the case that's a great deal man. Ur R is valued at about 45-48ish and the new one is 44k msrp +7500. Ur kinda winning really

There's something suspicious about an exact $20,000 markup. A series of different numbers would give the impression that the markup is less intentional in trying to pry away extra money. As an example, suppose the markup was $17,560. At least then, the buyer has the impression that the revised price has some basis in market science. But an exact $20,000 markup? Not falling for it.

@@BuyYourBuildI literally told my dealer guy to hide my car in their repair center as soon as my car arrived at the dealer. And he made sure no one got in it. Except the for the employee cleaning the car of course for me. But they left all the covers on it. And the red mats were in a bag. I didn’t want to use them since it was a rainy day when I picked it up. Mine is a Championship White 000936 FL5 :D
