So about a year and a half ago, I took a DNA test, and later found out that I wasn't fully Vietnamese. I later found out that one of my grandfather was the son of an emperor Mạc Dynasty, I didn't even know I had royal blood in me. My composition is 45% Vietnamese, 36% Chinese, and 12% Scandinavian! That is a big wow. I didn't even know one of my grandfather had autism and was a servant during the Trần Dynasty. I DID NOT KNOW THAT.

southeast asian is hard to categorise because for example the origin of some volks in southeast asia came from china but inhabited southeast asian countries very soon (the only natives of southeast asia are for example cambodians ) , Thai people for example originally came from South China 4000+ years ago (same with laos) which many people (that includes a lot of thais) dont even know since history isnt really taught in TH but it is mentioned in most books & documentarys about thailands History&origin (60% of thais still have chinese roots while the rest is any other asian mix such as indian cambodian vietnamese and so on). Some volks in SEA you could consider more as a nationality and less as a ethnicity even though they may live 1000+ years in SEA already, the only reason why some might not look like chinese as most people THINK ALL look like is bcs SEA people got mxd up very soon with many other ethnic people from south asia (such as india) , cambodian & any east asian volk. Any DNA test that shows you a certain SEA ethnicity doesnt necersarily mean theyre originaly FROM that country its more bcs of the fact that they lived on that country for so long. As a SEA you could have any kind of south to east asian ethnicity. Anyhow ,MOST SEA (ANY sea country) volks are VERY mxd with several asian ethnicitys ,you cant really consider them as something 100%'' that does not exist with most of the countrys volks in SEA...

Your results are sort of like mine. I already know that I am Chinese mixed even before doing the test. I did myheritage DNA as well and they broke it down for me even more. I was also Thái, Cambodian, and other things. The Southeast Asian is most likely not all Vietnamese so if you want to know the breakdown in more detail then I suggest doing another test at myheritage or Ancestry DNA and they will give you a more detailed breakdown of that section.

Im gonna try a dna test when I'm an adult to see what my Asian side is like. (Like for my mom's side) So far I just know that I'm 75% viet, 25% white: European, British, Dutch, and I forgot the others

Lol I wonder how they make to find what you are likely or less likely to love or hate from your DNA XD. Or is it just some form they make people answer at the same time than you register ? So they are comparing with the people that are relatives to you ? (Who does like licorice ??? WHO ). Anyway I would be curious to see where my ancestors come from. Most of them are probably from france. Then maybe a part british and a bit of native americans. That would be my expectation.
