    The 2.3% indo,thai, and khmer is austroasiatic dna which ancient viet ancestors were genetically linked to. When cambodians take the test, they usually come out with 10-20% vietnamese, but no match and undetected. It's ancient dna that's why. 23andme database only goes back 700 years. The viet dna in khmers is just austroasiatic dna which both viet and khmer ancestors actually have in their genetics.

    There is absolutely no "Austroasiatic" genotype,you are mistaken, Austroasiatic is a language group,including many different ethnic groups, the same language group does not mean the same genotype, , so Korea has the similar genotype as japan??, and China has the same genotype as Myanmar,?? India has the same genotype as England,??

    There are many people with 100% Vietnamese DNA results, So the small % of DNA from Indo, Thai, Cambodia, Malaysia,.... is because she is not 100% purebred, has nothing to do with "Austroasiatic",... 😔

    I doubt in 1800 one of your grandparent will be Chinese cause then your Chinese will be much higher then 9% high chance it just go way way back , most vietanmese who do 23and me do have 7-9 or even more % of Chinese from southern china which is pretty normal seeing the geography and how people trade with each other + most Vietnamese ( kinh ) origin from northern Vietnam then move down south , the more south the more mix you get result ( either thai/Khmer/cham(malay-indo) )

    Theoretically if one of her great grandparents is Chinese then she will have 12.5% Chinese which is not too far from 9% considering her other great grandparents might have a small percentage of Chinese in them also. Her great grandparents could roughly be borne around 1910 to 1920. So it's not unlikely at all.

    China colonized Vietnam for a 1,000 years, so a lot of Vietnamese have Chinese blood due to intermarriage.

  • @st4r444

    @st4r444

    Жыл бұрын

    There is no chinese blood. Chinese isn't really homogenous in ancient time. They were made of different ethnic group. Countries didn't exist back then. Myanmar, and parts of thai were south china. The people with Kingdoms there were an older race like kra dai speaking people. They migrated and mixed with local khmer in Vietnam. They were probably ancient relatives to modern chinese. They They lost their kingdom in China and migrated. Now they are ethnic minorities. They probably influenced other tribes like miao, yi, yao, lahu. And then the later han chinese culture and gene began to spread.

  • @KFC431

    @KFC431

    @@st4r444 I think it's possible there are different terms and criteria to describe what "homogenous" means. People who dates back their ancestry from EA and SEA are closely genetically related and are distinct from other populations. To most people, diversity mostly comes from the variation of phenotype which suggest one's ancestry and origins. If in a movie, you had some british, some french, some italians, some german, you could argue it's diverse but at the same time not, in the sense that those groups generally are within the same genetic family/phenotype. Same if you had desi people like pakistani, indian, Bangladesh, Afghanistan...
