Because Roger Hodgson & Rick Davies just couldn't get along and this was the pinnacle of their career (one more album after this and they parted ways) although you could say they sold out for commercial stardom since this album went against where they came from as far as being progressive on their previous albums. Regardless, this was a fantastic album in its own right.

@@TheBennedy85 Still love 'School' from 'Crime of the Century' & 'Sister Moonshine' from 'Crisis, What Crisis'. Truly different music on their earlier albums up until 'Even in the Quietest Moments' where they changed direction and decidedly became a little bit more pop when they released 'Breakfast in America'.

Don't forget the one where Brad (the singing drummer) gets out from behind the drums. Horse With No Name. He sings lead vocal, nails it, and plays acoustic guitar. Still want that performance added to the live show set list. #hsccfantasticfriday #hsccultimatesongreinventionband #hscccoverband

I think the Supertramp sound in the vocals comes mainly from the guy on the keyboards standing at the back. The drummer has a good voice though but the harmonica sound clinched it for me.

OMG - "Even in the Quietest Moments" having 'Breakfast In America" in 1979 - who would think that HSCC could reel off an absolute killer song and sound so authentic. Wow.. a blast from my growing up days in Australia and we thought we were so sophisticated at 17 years of age being into Supertramp back then. A timeless and iconic song done to perfection with Brad channeling the great Roger Hodgson, Bobby Blues and Jason nailing the awesome John Helliwell harmonica and soprano sax note for note - BRAVO HSCC!!

My favorite Supertramp song! Memories of high school in 1979 when our football (American) team won the State championship. We played this song as we traveled to the game, I think it was an 8-track stereo in the car. Thanks for the smiles 💕
I like it, HSCC's version blows the dust off this old Supertramp hit song
Shout out from Portland Oregon USA! You fucking nailed it. This wasn't a cover, oh no, no no, THIS was a PERFORMANCE. Great vocals brothers!

What a treat at the end of the day to watch my favorite band record one of my favorite Supertramp songs. Stellar performance, gentlemen. What an amazing, fresh performance of an old favorite.
This really does show the diversity & versatility of this fantastic band. Supertramp is one of my all time favourite groups and you guys really did them proud. The vocals/harmonies at the end was something very special.
Not easy to sing that good and play drums at the same time ⌚ Brad should be put in the front more often! Well done by all Greetings from France 🇫🇷 🎶 🎸

Oh my, I’m taking the long way home tonight. Get stuck in traffic and pump this tune up. This is an absolute stunner.
If anyone needed convincing about the abilities of this bunch of multi talented artists from Adelaide SA putting their own coat of varnish on any song then this ones for you. Yet another example of the brilliance of HSCC on full show here 🤩
I have listened to dozens and dozens of HSCC covers and this is most definitely one of your best so far! Incredible performance by every single artist, spot-on harmony and harmonica! 👏👏👏
Getting ready for work on a Friday morning and I see this in my YT feed. Stopping to listen, I'm transported beck to 13 years old in 1979. You magically made 45 years disappear in seconds. Can't think of a better way to end the week.

The man is a veritable multitalent. It's not his first lead though. He's done several. All excellent ! His kit is always so well tuned as well ! He's my favourite toghether with Mario Marino ( one of the best groove masters in my opinion - i'm a ( semi professional ) drummer myself. ) And ...you can tell from a mile away Mr Polain is such a pleasant human being !!
Grew up with Breakfast in America being one of my favorite albums. Always loved the blend of instruments and vocals of that band. Great cover. Looking forward to another Supertramp cover
Blast from my past! I used to be a Supertramp groupy! I went to many of their concerts back in the late 70's early 80's I met them and got signed autographed pictures of the band! I still have them. Took me back to a very very wonderful time period in my young adult life before starting my family. I love Supertramp you guys nailed this one! Fantastic cover! 💯 😎❤️😀🍻

Truly amazing. Normally I would say the only supertramp can sound like supertramp but, that just changed. Brad did something that very few can ever do . He sounded like Roger Hodgson. Great harmonica too. Thank you HSCC . This song brings back alot of great memories from happy times. 🙂

Brings back memories from the best years of my life ♥️ thank you! You did it proud 👍
Great ! Again those perfect harmonies and the exceptional balance between the instruments. You guys are at your best when trying ( and completely succeeding ! ) to duplicate those classics to a T !!
This HSCC drummist is something of a dark horse - calmly layin' down solid backing beats to most of the band's weekly wonders - then he springs a surprise on us all - he can sing too..! Roger H would be proud of this version - and all the harmonies are pretty good too...
Don't know who does the sound and video, but I feel they capture the 'vibe', the quality is tops, good application of capture and record and just as importantly, for me, they grab the atmosphere of the studio, the bands chemistry and sense of joy and invite us to enjoy it too, I think that is often overlooked and unappreciated. Just a big thanks all round really.
Just perfect !!! Supertramp is one of my favorit group. Several times I couldt enjoy them live in Switzerland. 😊
Y'all know the deal !... Hit like and then listen.... Southern Ohio, United States here !
