The original is one of my favorite songs ever. I've never thought of Phil Collins as an amazing singer, but something about his songs always struck a chord with me. He always puts 100% of himself into his performance, I can respect and appreciate that. There's a live performance of this song on KZread that I've listened to on repeat for hours on end before, I love it. The song itself isn't the most popular, I never expected to stumble on someone covering it. Most covers don't live up to their original anyway, so not a big deal. I can say, without a doubt in my mind, this version is straight up one of the best songs I've ever heard. The emotions are there, the talent is there, I love it. I've been listening on repeat since I found it last night. Amazing.

This is in my top 5 songs of all time. Phil's version brings back good memories of being a Military Policeman in the Maryland and Pennsylvania countryside in the mid 80s, driving past barns and silos on warm early summer evenings watching the fireflies just as dusk is falling and missing my girl, and my family, 2,500 miles away in Washington state. Your version brought back all that, but it was also all yours: slowed down a touch, jazzed up a bit, less rock/pop and more feels. "Well done," to all of the people who worked on this.
