With all due respect to the comments about Morgan 'getting her big break' soon... and deserving it... I can't help but wonder if she is simply happy doing what she is doing? The pressure and hassles of stardom is not always the goal. I hope she's happy... and she surely knows she's supported and loved by millions...

I have a feeling that Morgan has turned down some “opportunities” that may have put her more in the public eye in the past. I for one am glad she’s been successful on her own terms. Her talent is unique, and she doesn’t need some old machine of the industry fucking that all up. She’s perfect! Please keep singing as long as it brings you joy.

From what I’ve seen of her, she is one of the most humble and beautiful souls I’ve seen recently, and that’s not taking away from others of her personality type. However, her singing is just spectacular and I don’t really think it’s all about the money or stardom attention she wants. I’m satisfied she’d love to get her due exposure and make a great living, but keeping it simple as you stated, would make it great for everyone! Her singing can absolutely get me emotional, and I’m and older rock ‘n roller from the 60’s and on, but her style and emotion gets me every time! Love this lady!

She s doing what she wants to do,,, write and perform as for a break, she's been featured in several Broadway musicals, has quite a few albums out, and tours internationally. She enjoys her independence. Check out her website for her bio and to listen to much more of that incredible voice.

Mrs James could sing some names from a telephone book and I would melt away. One of the best voices ever heard in my life. Beautiful!!!! :-)

WOW! I don't know how I missed this video (which is nearing 5 yrs old), but I"m glad I found it ! I knew that Morgan James had some pipes on her, but I didn't realize to this extent, until I heard her sing "Emotions".. Incredible!

I absolutely love Morgan, she is such an awesomely talented young woman. She is fantastic with Doug Wamble singing Hoagy Carmichael. She is also an amazing songwriter. So glad I found her on KZread a few yrs ago with Post Modern Jukebox (PMJ and Scott are fantastic), singing with Casey Abrams, Ariana Savalas, and Haley Rinehart, who are all talented artists.

Folks keep asking why she is not more famous, & better published. My guess is she has not yet sold her soul to the music industry.

I need to listen to this whole performance. I am a pretty big fan of Morgan. Started with catching her with Postmodern Jukebox singing "All About That Bass". I was floored with the arrangement and the singing by all three women, and Morgan in that leopard print dress looking absolutely stunning. Just listened to Ransom here and thought it was a damn good song. Morgan has pipes and can change up her singing style depending on the material quite nicely. Would love to catch her live...no pun intended.

Tracey she is here this Saturday at Levitt Pavilion and next month at Soiled Dove. I saw her for the first time with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra for a 4th of July concert at Fiddler's Green a couple of years ago. She was singing Disney stuff but mentioned she did R&B and I had to look her up. She is amazing!!

Wow so lucky to meet her, Really hoping that one day she does a UK tour, definitely be 1st through the door. She is just one artist can listen to enough. She really could shoot to the top. Forget about the Celine Dions of this world, Morgan far exceeds

she reminds me a lot of Eva Cassidy when I discovered her years ago..I know her sister Margret very well..This gal is in that same great voice category..she needs to be known and I think she will....I found her 3 days ago and i have listened to everything she has done...that group she was with,maybe still with them ,where they take many famous rock songs and do their own jazzy thing..its great..I'm 80 and been playing and entertaining for 61 years..ha ha one more than Rod..I'm in a more Michael Buble,Sinatra,Elvis type singer...and some blues..but her range is a killer...

Fabulous concert. Morgan is so unappreciated in today's music world. Thank You, KZread for my opportunity to discover such amazing talent. Today's commercial music is so big money oriented and WOKE! I wish to someday see a Morgan James Concert. I can't believe those guys sitting in the front tables just sitting there so emotionless!! How these people get these seats? This girl is an amazing singer, she has soul, which is rare today.

Morgan is always great, even on an off day. That is an incredible band. The sound as a whole is so tight, its hard to believe this is a live performance. Love hearing Dan on the harmonies and solo on an occasional verse. Dan's slide guitar is masterful.

We used to say the same thing about Joe Bonamassa, now his concert tix are megabucks. :) I do expect we’ll see the same with MJ, she’s talented, driven and really nice. Can’t wait to buy her tix when they’re too pricey!

The world needs more artists like her. Singer/songwriter whom writes their own songs & sings BR&B,JAZZ,BLUES & SOUL MUSIC., something with alot of emotion. Music today is just an empty candy wrapper. The record labels would have you believe that their artists have something sweet & desirable inside but when they open up they are empty of substance & just make noise then they need electronic assistance to sound legit, but they aren't saying anything of value & they just steal from those that came before to sound relevant.

I’ve loved MJ since her All about the Bass with postmodern I think she is another Aretha Franklin and amazingly she’s white wish she would record If ever I would leave you” (1963 ish) Aretha version always makes me cry
