God i love taihou. Shes a top tier secretary from what she does just a little overboard with her love tho. And shes got all the qualities of a good wife. Considering that she didnt do anything in war and sank so fast shes trying to prove her self.

Today's my 192 days in the game day 1 was the invitation thingy event I chose Taihou Oathed her and was my first ever SSR Carrier on this day as well she's MLB LVL 125 carrying every boss battle and siren stages I love her so much.

My guy. I have pretty much the same story, I started the game when the Lunar New Year event was going on, picked Taihou from the invitation. First one to oath, first to reach max level, was my boss flagship for up until like last week when when I finally retired her in favor of a triple battleship main fleet (FdG, Vanguard, Howe).

@@Herskaa She wasn't my first Oath, but she WAS my first SSR pull, even before other standard big pulls like Enterprise, Eugen, Belfast, and even SANDY when I started 3 years ago. I believe she was also the first Character Story ship I finished as well. The moment I learned her IRN backstory made everything fall into place and made me lover her more so she has been a Standard for my "I want this Boss Dead Fleets" alongside Enterprise since practically the beginning.

Oh this was great! Albacore also has a secretary quest and she would make a lot of sense after Taihou seeing that you already did Shoukaku and Akagi‘s quests. Of course, I definitely won‘t mind you doing the quest of our favorite Lolibaba Pamiat‘ either.

The editing... It's perfect. The entire thing. I've done Atago's and most of Essex's memory, and Essex's is pretty good so far. Similar to Hornet's, but also very different.

At 3:53 I just feel like the Takao plush that says "Nu", this secretary line show how important is to have Albacore inside a pokeball if you ever have the need to call her when Taihou decides to do Taihou things.

I don't know if Taihou could carry the Commander and his bed to her room, but I DO know she would try.

@@Gruntseven I believe thats playing on the real life fact that if Taihou's crew hadn't f*&% her up so bad when they got internal fires from Albacore's single torpedo shot, she would had easily recovered and been fixed or escaped. But instead they badly handled the situation which led to porrly venting the smoke and allowed the fire to spread and caused further explosions as it spread....all from a single (and by all accounts non-lethal) torpedo hit

She looks crazy and sounds crazy, but in reality she's the opposite, and with abandonment issue. Edit: Taihou is the only biggest pure CV the IJN to ever built, while Shinano is a converted ship. All the money and resources to build her got wasted so hard by bad crews and 1 torpedo from Albacore. Since that, IJN never build any big and heavy armored CV anymore. She was the IJN's "mightiest carrier" but then they shit on her after she sunk. Edit 2: Hawk, Akagi will literally go over the line more than Taihou. One of Akagi's voice line is literally "i don't mind you partake (breed) me in front of my sisters!"

I'm gonna be honest, between Akagi and Taihou, I very much prefer Taihou. With Akagi, you constantly get the feeling that one day, you might wake up chained up to a bed in dimly lit basement "so we wouldn't see other girls ever again". With Taihou, while she's absolutely clingy and afraid of others stealing us from her, she cares so much about us that she wouldn't dare to pull something like this, "set up defenses in our bedroom" nonwitstanding. And unlike Akagi, who largely prefers to stick to herself, her sisters, Graf Zeppelin and us, Taihou can get along pretty well with others, even with Albacore, to an extent.

Bruh Taihou is a straight up stalker, she always comments that she 'knows everything about us', that always creeped me out. Plus in this very story she DELIBERATELY provokes an already angry Akagi, like wtf? Also Akagi acts shocked that Taihou went into the Commander's room at night. I never felt Akagi would do that. Also in Akagi's secretory story, she mentions Taihou is behind the two of you as you walk, but she doesn't attempt to show you off like Taihou does, Plus at the end of her story Akagi states that she can respect if you don't like her, Taihou takes 'have a day off' as you rejecting her; thats not healthy. But thats just my opinion, mainly Taihou coming off as a stalker is an instant red flag for me. Both her and Akagi are crazy to an extent, but Akagi feels like less of a danger since she can actually take being rejected quite well.

@@Tenacitybrit those are good points, but with Akagi, you kinda have to take into consideration that Akagi would very much like to burn down the entire AL if it means her, Kaga and *maybe* Graf Zeppelin (I base this on the fact they are friends in her storyline, YMMV) would be alone with Commander, so noone would be able to steal him and the only thing stopping her is that "it *might* hurt Commander". In pretty much every line that is not trying to seduce Commander, she is venomous towards others and hoping they wouldn't return so there'd be less competition and in her oath skin, she very much drugs and chains the Commander to the bed in the basement: "Are you awake? Huh? Akagi wasn't doing anything~ It's just that- So that I would forever be with Commander that I put these locks on your chains~". That is also not very healthy, you have to admit. While Taihou is absolutely a stalker and tends to provoke Akagi, given their rivalry over him, majority of Taihou's issues stem from seeking validation from the only person who, in her mind, seems to give a damn about her as she takes the suggestion "take a day off" as him suggesting that she failed as a secretary right after Albacore calls her out on being clingy. So between a person who's one bad conversation away from going homicidal and one person who's one bad conversation away from going fully depressed, I think I'll take my chances with the latter

@@MultiDante333 I haven't actually played the game (Mainly cos I don't have anything powerful enough to run it, not because I don't want to) So I didn't know Akagi actually does drug and kidnap you at some point lol. But I still maintain that of the 4 yandere kansen. (Akagi, Taihou, Roon and Junyou) Akagi seems to be the most mentally sound, Shes not as clingy as Taihou, she isn't psychotic like Roon and isn't straight up loony like Junyou. Yeah shes a little crazy, but I really don't see Akagi as being that dangerous, heres why: At the end of her secretory quest she admits that she knows the Commander may not love her back and she seems at peace with that. Taihou doesn't get to that point in her own story and it just feels more like the Commander is just enabling her stalker and clingy behaviour. Also this is pointed out in one of Hawks other videos on Akagi, but the reason Akagi is so venomous towards other ship girls isn't just because shes possessive of the Commander, but she knows that because of her past actions the other ship girls don't see her that favourably anyway, so she just assumes everyone but the Commander is out to get her. I think people forget that part of Akagi's personality and its what makes me feel sympathetic for her. Taihou doesn't have that excuse.

​@@Tenacitybrit you raised good points and I agree with you on the secretary quest line, that she does mellow out by the end of it (even if her lines afterwards do not change and she still displays the same Yandere tendencies and chains you in a basement upon oathing, which I think is a missed opportunity to really hammer in the growth of character). Taihou actually does have an excuse, though it's based on real life history of her ship - it was sunk very quick by Albacore's torpedo that ignited the fuel tanks so she did not do anything during the war. Here, she tries to prove herself useful in any way shape or form to the one person who gave her a fair chance since she feels useless because of how quickly she sank before she got to do anything. That being said, she *is* overzealous in how she does it. Roon is more of a Yangire, she will murder anyone and even with her own feelings for Commander she can't really decide whether it's love or hatred. Even Taihou is telling her to cool it.

Personally I think its an issue with the game's writing rather than Akagi's character, I feel like oathing a ship should get a slightly different reaction if that ship has a memory. This is just me, but I don't really like using a ship's 'real' history as a reason to explain why they act the way they do, since it doesn't really apply to half of them. Bismarck for example should be male since in real life she was referred to as such, Kongou should have a deep hatred of destroyers since in one of her real battles a single enemy destroyer sunk and destroyed many of her allies etc. As well meaning and innocent her motives maybe, Taihou's actions still make her a little too off-putting to me. Plus in the slow ahead anime she comes across more like a horny teenager than the adult she supposedly is.

I think basically every Shipfu expresses differently how the headquarters are watching you Which theoretically would explain my recent luck in 3 consecutive events on construction

Taihou.....idk how I feel about her, of course, the nervous laughing through out it all is warranted, HOWEVER, Taihou and Akagi having a showdown is something I DO NOT want to see happen, as they both can go crazy if pushed to far into Battle, and I just tend to be like "wait....Taihou and Akagi in the same general area? ....the time for talk is past, it's time to duck and cover behind a large rock to ensure I stay alive" type feeling though, I have to agree....Taihou while she may not be a favorite of mine either, I don't wanna see what the Meta version of her would bring. as for the next one...idk, it's a toss up between KGV and Avrora that I wanna see done next

Unpopular/controversial opinion; Taihou is the most stable of the 3 sakura yandere's.

Akagi mellows out near the end of her story, but where Taihou differs from the other Yanderes is her lack of violent tendencies, especially towards the commander. Taihou would never actively kidnap the Commander. Shes not really a Yandere exactly, her character is more complex, like all the proposed Yanderes. I would categorize it by, Roon is a Yangire, Taihou is a submissive Yandere, Akagi is an assertive Yandere, and Junyou is a Manipulative Yandere, but not really a Yandere to begin with

Dang man Akagi's own flames are thirsty for her, licking up her body. 😏

Taihou and Akagi are all bark and no bite, Roon would act violently upon her threats.

My Precious phoenix is adorable, she's not as scary as akagi...I mean read taihou and akagi disappointed line, akagi literally threatens the commander to chop him up while taihou still loves the commander.

I can't believe that this story line exist! I've been playing Azur Lane for almost a year and I didn't even know that this story line exist! BTW thank you hawk for making my day for all the laughter I had from Taiho's love for the commander and event the time 21:38

Just tap on the Memories camera icon in the top right of the screen and then switch to Characters on the far right of the next screen and it will show you all the Characters with present memories for you to work on....if you have them that is

Everytime i think about the akagi's yandere personality by only thinking at taihou i realize how much the latter scares me,a personal that stalks me even if i'm peeing or taking a shower,an overly obsessed person,while akagi,yes is obessive-possessive too,but she's drove more by desperation/searching for comprehension which makes her way more tollerable

If that type of character is how they do Taihou META, I will react the same way as how you reacted to Repulse META: She's my favorite Sakura Empire character.

Have you ever thought about doing a video about the commander? Sure he is the player self-insert character and all..but he seems to be very interresting...like why he's a commander, why some ships value him so much and theses stuff...i think this could be interesting.

One of my favorite cruisers from WW2 was USS Wichita. Unique design, adopted younger sister of New Orleans class, cousin/half sister to Brooklyn, half older sister to Baltimore class. From guarding Soviet conveys, fighting the Vinchy of North Africa, to going All over the Pacific Ocean. Sadly this game gave her light armor (her real life armor matched Baltimore and should be medium) and she has very few skins..

Now I’m just waiting for Junyou, Suzuya? And Roon To get their storylines to complete the crazy few Ps: Taihou’s legs and hips are the same As Bon Homme Richard META’s, no pantsu too (Taihou I get, Richard confuses me)

The commander sighs as he reads through the paperwork. His secretary and wife Arizona was out on a week long Sortie with her battle ship sisters leaving him with there daughter Unicorn to playfully swing her feet as she sat in one of the chairs. His temporary secretary should be coming in any time soon as he was told she be in by 0800 hours. Thought he honestly didn't mind if they where a few minutes behind as he was a patient man. However he did question who command would have act as his temporary secretary ship while Arizona was out. He honestly prayed to Jesus that it wasn't Akagi or Lord forbid Taihou. While they were friends from the beginning of Azur Lane and after the war and the reformation. He was always uncomfortable being around the Sakura empire shipgirls. Mostly because of that....weird sense of....malice when they found out he was married to Arizona. Hell he could still feel that malice leak out of them every time he came across them when he, Arizona, and Unicorn would go out to the main land to have some quality family time. Then he heard a voice so shrill that it made even Unicorn uncomfortable. Despite her being a Mecha-Class Kan-Son this voice made her Banshee Norn rigging appear out of sheer fear the armor segmenting revealing the hidden KDS plates that emitted a aura of a scared cat. "CO-MAN-DER!" The voice said as the door opened. And to his worst fears as though God had forsaken him to hell and back like at the battle of Saipan. Taihou stood there with a unnerving unnatural smile. The voice that called him out by Rank. Sensually and with purpose. And it made the hairs on his back raise in not only confusion but genuine unadulterated FEAR. "Taihou...." Was all he could muster as she walked into the room all but ignoring the fact that the Mecha/KanSon was ready for a attack should she make a single wrong move. A magnum beam rifle loaded with enough energy that with one shot she could vaporize her and everything around her in a 10ft radius. "Greetings, I am to be your secretary ship while Arizona is currently, 'Sortied'." Something about that statement made his skin crawl like she deliberately planned for Arizonas Sortie. "I see well there's some paperwork to be done and a lot of it. I need you to go down to Supply and catalog EVERYTHING. as well as clean the warehouse from top to bottom." The commander replied. It was normal to do a daily cleaning of the supply Warehouses. However he told the managers of said stores to prepare if Taihou or Akagi is his secretary ship and if they aren't to just go ahead and do regular cleaning and they can reschedule the Equipment manifest/stores another day in the week. But it appears they have to go with the latter. "Certainly Commander! Just leave it to Taihou I'll be back in a jiffy!" she replied almost happy to have received the order. "Abba....that women scares me more then Emma..." Unicorn stated while deactivating her Mecha-Rig. "Sweetie you have no idea..." Was all the father could reply. However 10 minutes later he saw Taihou enter his office. "No" he thought "No it can't be he made sure the boys down in S1 to keep the bays dirty SPECIFICALLY just in case Akagi or Taihou would be selected. How on Gods green earth is she done not ONLY cleaning the supply bays. But ALSO done cataloging EVERY piece of equipment and ordnance right down the final serial number!" "Hey Taihou how...did you get the task done on 10 minutes?" The commander asked "Oh it just needed a womens touch" she sultry replied Making him feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable as well as his daughter. "I see..." TBC
