Nothing wrong with putting family first Hawk. I admire that in a person to be honest. As for the event, I had a funny feeling before the event that Musashi or Yamato would either side with or lean towards Akagi's vision. Musashi definitely seems to be leaning.

Now I've had some time to chill and think, it feels to me Akagi's vision of the future is a self-fulfilling prophecy. In her drive for the power to "save" the Sakura Empire, she's going to cause its destruction. Whether as in our timeline by provoking the rest of the world to come down like a hammer on them, to weakening the Empire in a civil war or Azur Lane war so the Sirens are able to easily crush them. Most likely to me though, is it feels like she's going to be the one to destroy everything herself, after killing Kaga to get the power she needs only to then embrace the META out of anguish and guilt and becoming a calamity, ie, Bon Homme Richard. I still don't like how Musashi was portrayed though, as it feels like the event Musashi is a totally different ship to the character Musashi. Although that could be because the character Musashi is event Musashi after she gets character development from seeing how Akagi's way is a total cock-up. Here's hoping Nagato and Mikasa don't get written as ignorant fools in the next event.

It's not the first time I come out of a story event with some reservations. But I think the fact that they managed to write an event that makes us feel unneasy and that generates discussion with multiple valid points of view is a remarkable first for Azur Lane.

This event made me compare Akagi with Vergil from DMC a lot -Both suffered a tragedy in their life that resulted in a family member passing away -Both start off seeking power to never be hurt again and protect those close to them -Both go to the extremes in order to obtain power and are willing to throw away everything they ever had if it means getting more power -Both died and got used as a pawn by big bad -Both have suffered a motive decay, instead of power for the sake of protecting everyone, it's power for the sake of power -Both managed to reunite with their families The difference, however, is that Vergil, presumably, learned his lesson and his relationships became much less antagonistic with everyone. Akagi apparently got the memo twice, took a light look at it and tore it to shreds, as she's now trying to pull a Bismark and use the Cube to gain power even if her soul gets erased by it. In words of Dante: "It's not about loss. Strength is a choice, like fighting like hell to protect what's important. You threw away everything you ever had, no wonder you have no true power" Basically, looking forward to Akagi Meta Also, good job, Musashi, for enabling Akagi's toxic view and assisting her in her pursuit of Power. I imagine Shinano, who upon awakening, immediately set her sights on stopping Akagi from dooming SE in her pursuit, is really proud of you

family comes first above all Hawk, take what time ya need the event, for me at least, was showing just how divided the Sakura Empire really is at this point, with how each faction is, it sorta reminds me of the Japanese Imperial Army and Navy and their own internal struggles during the war. ...However, Akagi stating that she is willing to accept a gift that nearly killed both Hood, and after being saved by U556, Bismarck, it goes to show that her old personality from when she was a battlecruiser like her sister Amagi is still very much apart of her. I feel like Mikasa has always had a point after her own event, but I feel like this also sums up Akagi's own ideals very well "to presume absolute power, is to be consumed by it, and in such a pursuit, it shall corrupt your very being and there for, will loose everything". Musashi and by extension Yamato, could very well have their own plan in place and are just waiting to see which side will hold the stronger ideal in the end and back them as a result, even if it means going against Shinano in the end, but this is just my theory on what those two and those who follow them are doing, it's still to early to tell just what their plans are

My conclusion from this event is that we're seeing Akagi and Kaga going down a similar road to the one they followed in the anime, although I'm sure that the game will do things differently. Akagi spiralling deeper and deeper into her belief that power alone is the only path to victory, Kaga protecting her as much as she can, until Akagi is in a mental box where she uses the ultimate weapon that Jintsuu META mentions, only to be stopped at the last moment (another thing Jintsuu META mentions) by Nagato accepting that there are times where you have to accept a terrible burden to stop something even worse and like in the anime's conclusion, brings the battlefleets of the three strongest factions (Sakura Empire, Eagle Union, and Royal Navy) to bear on the ultimate weapon. And of course being Nagato, absolves Kaga and Akagi of blame for their misguided decisions on the grounds that by being unwilling to oppose them when it was clear that they were planning something terrible, there is too much blame to go around to lay it at the feet of just two people. In case it's not obvious, I am a very big fan of Nagato and regard her and Mikasa as being the wiser leaders of the Empire than Akagi and those with her. The conflict between the two thoughts reminds me of the divergent strategies Japan was considering prior to the commencement of hostilities with the United States. The first was a very conservative approach that relied on the successful strategies of the past, which was attack south and overrun the Philippines to draw the US Navy into a decisive battle in Japanese waters, believing that the effects of attrition and being at the end of an extremely long logistical thread would lead to victory. The other was a very bold strategy that everyone is familiar with, which ended up leaving the American carriers free to cause devastating mischief and ultimately only fully destroyed two capital ships; the others would be refloated, retrofitted, and sent back out in fighting form. To bring the analogy back to the game, Akagi represents the radical approach, Nagato and Mikasa represent the conservative, and I am of the belief that that conservative approach of a unified blow in the most advantageous circumstances possible is the superior approach. I think that this event also revealed Akagi's dangerously delusional arrogance in that she believes she has a better grasp on the power of the black cube and the nature of the Sirens than the leadership of the Iron Blood who have been repeatedly conducting tests, exercises, and experiments to better understand what's going on and was fairly recently able apply the knowledge gained to convert Prime Timeline historical ships into fully capable shipgirls, and of course fully eliminate one of the humanoid Sirens. Akagi's certainty that she can better handle a power that someone with a better understanding of that power put aside seems like a fundamental flaw that is destined to end badly for her, without accomplishing what she wants.

As Aquiles from AC3 once said "In your haste to Save the world, boy take care You don't destroy it" Even if akagi's feelings are intentions are good, her actions during the event give a really dark foreshadowing, Akagi simply sending Yamashiro to a sure death situation, shocked Ryuuhou by the fact Yamashiro was in no condition to fight, Also sending Kaga her own Sister to such battle without a hesitation, show that Akagi is wiling to sacrifice anyone for her Victory, Ryuuhou shock is a foreshadowing that Akagi Will lose her few allies. Also You make a fair point in how the Sirens show Akagi what the Sirens wants, but Also Akagi using the origin cube was foreshadowed in one of Shinano's dreams during her Event Also implied that the Sakura Empire was destroyed, i really want to see Shinano's reactions to how this event, for now She is the only that knows there is a future for the SE.

First and foremost: I hope your family issue is fairing well. :D As for the Event... It was necessary, yes, as much as it pains to see any Shipgirl dancing around the Dark Path that is Metamorphosis. I also fear for Akagi (but I honestly believe she'll be saved in the end, if not sooner) because, on her quest for more power (so she can protect those she holds dear and so that she doesn't lose anyone else), Akagi opted for the Siren way. But, here's a couple of things I would like to point out, as well: - Akagi is desperate to protect everyone she holds dear, by any means necessary, so that she doesn't lose anyone else (like Amagi). This may end up (like you said Hawk) to her lose everything she cares about. But, in my opinion, very few think rationally when they want to protect something (or someone) so badly; - Musashi stated, at the start of the Event, "Akagi, I'll protect you from the incoming storm.". However, Musashi (in cooperation with a META) ends up giving Akagi a "gift" that can, potentially, corrupt her. At first, I was extremely disappointed with Musashi for what she did. But, after a while, and because Musashi shows concern for Akagi when talking to Jintsuu META, I thought of something else: what if Akagi was already going META, and this "gift" is either a "potential cure" or, like they stated at the Event, a "temporary lock" until a cure can be found? What if, the "Storm" Musashi mentions is Akagi's Metamorphosis?; - If my 2nd part of the above point proves to be false, then I really gotta ask: should Akagi really be the one to blame for accepting the "gift"? Because, Musashi was the one that provided said "gift". And Musashi is perfectly aware of Akagi's current state of mind. - Lastly, this could all be avoided if we (The Commander) would leave being 24/7 with the Eagle Union and spend some time with the other factions 😆. Thank you for anyone who reads this wall of text. I just needed to let this out of my chest.

Akagi very much could be under the effects already, and this test was to see if they could give her the power without much consequence. It seems to be the case here, however...she's still got a timer on her that'll have to be controlled or cured at some point in the future. As for the Commander, I don't think he has complete control of who he is with. We see this with the 2nd Russian event where the Royal Navy/Eagle Union come to pick him up and there's a bit of a cold staredown during that transfer.

Finally someone that noticed just how useless "The Commander" is. Honestly the various AL Fanfics out there wrote him better than the game itself. For 2 years I had been playing this game, never once I see him take the initiative to unify all the factions. He's just been hiding his ass in Eagle Union all time, and only goes out to the Northern Parliament a while. We don't see him take charge and hands out the olive branch to the Crimson Axis factions. He should initiate a visit to the Sakura Empire or Ironblood to improve relations, meet and talk with Nagato and Bismarck, I would LOVE to see what their meetings be like. What does he expect? that the factions would magically sort out their differences and unite to fight the Sirens? But I guess he got what he deserves for sleeping on his job, as this new "Empress" siren is finally making her move. Judging from the last cutscene of this event, where he seemingly woke up from a "bad dream" by Helena META/Helena.

The only people in-universe at this point who can do anything to stop Akagi, are Amagi and the Commander. So either they have to bring back Amagi, which would slightly weaken her story arc, or they'll have to somewhat sacrifice some peoples' self-insert potential as there are several people who don't like Akagi and wouldn't want to try and save her, meaning those people would need to be alienated in-order to save her if it's done via the Commander. The only other option I can see is the introduction of an Akagi-META who already went this route and failed, coming into to smack our Akagi with some sense (and fists) and pinning her down to make her see reason.

My problem with this story is that it seemed to boil down to "might makes right, so Akagi wins cos she was stronger since she was willing to make sacrifices". I don't like that the assumption is that Mikasa and Nagato needed to learn that they can't win without sacrifice, when from another perspective, people who will make such sacrifices are just taking the easy route and dismissing their wrongdoings with "I had to do it, it couldn't be done without sacrifices", when the battle can still be won without the sacrifices, but it'll just be a lot harder. Nice, brief analysis. Best wishes regarding your present circumstances. I came away from this event with a much simpler, pragmatic view than a lot of lore enthusiasts seem to have. Musashi's intention in having the three meet was to create an avenue for a controlled burn of Akagi, if Mikasa and Nagato had the will to directly confront her. They didn't. If they are ideologically opposed to battling Akagi, despite her ideals and actions being viewed as discordant or possibly existentially threatening to the Sakura Empire, even in the context of an exercise, they can't be expected to prevail with actual stakes on the line either, so Musashi may as well support Akagi, because she is actually trying to do something, and nobody will stop her anyways.

Honestly? This further degrades my enjoyment of the Sakura Empire story. If Musashi is willing to throw away the value of her fellows, simply to test, what does that make her? If she is acting on Yamato's behalf, this makes it worse. This makes them as bad if not worse than the Sirens. After what we have learned, we know the Sirens are obsessing over finding a way to defeat some external foe, that only the Ashes and Shinano have seen. The Sakura Empire doesn't have the same ability to pull a reverse UNO card like the Iron Blood, mostly because... they aren't a smart faction. Akagi has about as much intelligence as a limp noodle, as does Musashi, and by extension, Yamato. When you look at the people pulling the strings and guiding the IB, you have at least -3- genius level intellects who are working -together- for the betterment of their faction. Whereas, you have great tacticians on the Sakura side (Mikasa, Akagi to a point, and Musashi) but they aren't long game thinkers. They are medium to short range in their capabilities and views. We can't utilize time between releases as changing that, as they have stated that many of the events that occur aren't separated very long between one another, if even going on at the same time. As seen in this event with the Italy one. Sadly, I think they are just building the Sakura Empire to have to be saved last minute by something/someone and make that someone a UR ship drop.

Ah. Well, if the prospect of them being wiped out by re-enactments (according to Akagi) or by an unknown force (as seen by Shinano), wouldn't you want to try to avoid it at all costs? People would not just sit tight and let the waves carry them. This test is one of the many ways that I think they are trying to find an answer to avoid these "endings". They have a known problem thanks to two of their own. They are trying to find a solution so that they can be very much prepared for it. I just read a bit of CN recently and found that Musashi's dialogue is a bit different in this case. It's clear that she doesn't like the direction they're going, but Akagi might be a "If all else fails" strategy that they want to have in their pocket. I think this is them adapting to a known clear and present danger in the end.

@@Hawk2zer0 The issue is, what Shinano saw eradicate the Sakura Empire, was the Watatsumi. The other "Leviathan" wiped EVERYONE out. So Akagi's view of the re-enactments is the only complete destruction of only the Sakura Empire (re-enactment of WW2,) BUT she ignores information coming in. Such as the events of the IB returning to Azur Lane and the permanent destruction of a Siren, because it doesn't fit in with her world view. And if what you are saying about the CN translation is correct, then Musashi is just hedging her bets, which is more understandable, but being wishy washy is not healthy for a wartime fleet. I did forget to say, I hope your family things relax soon, and that the people got better/you are better, and thank you for your thought out videos! I think it'd be cool for the event to build into some late ww2/early cold war era conflicts. Like the old SE fleet being reduced to wrecks, and the JDF ships being what the SE has after the fact. One thing is pointed was pointed out to me fairly later on in the event, we wont be relegated to WW1/WW2 era ships much longer as their real-life counters get fewer & more obscure as they're added, which means Nuclear Cruisers, and Carriers are right around the corner (if understood correctly, as the probability of this is .0000000001 to 1).

I'm still intrigued by the "leviathans" ever since Bonne was introduced it felt like we had a concrete villain. and i dont think it's the sirens I think the sirens are actually the last line of defense desperately looking for a solution to save humanity. what if the meta phenomenon actually can go two different ways, a partial awakening, where the shipgirl retains a portion of themselves like with Helena, Enterprise, etc. and then a full descent into chaos like Bonne. and what if the sirens are trying to manipulate shipgirls into going through meta to force them to be stronger? I remember, it was briefly mentioned, but there was a massive mirror sea underwater that had arbiters guarding it. what if that is where the leviathans sleep and the arbiters are trying to delay for as long as they can? and the Ashes may be trying to stop the sirens' meta plan, seeing it too risky and dangerous. we know that the Ashes and the sirens have gone through countless other timeliness, yet this one is special, it has the "key." is it the key to a new future? a divergence from the otherwise worn road of time? and then there was "project dawn" where we saw the remnants of a failed timeline, was project dawn a desperate attempt to warn another timeline? so many questions....

I’m wondering if next event, that we will see TB become a new pawn in the siren’s game, but this time as a double agent if she ‘survives’ the assault on the base. - As for Akagi, I have a feeling her breaking point will be when even Kaga, the one so dedicated to her cause, either goes against her, or nearly dies because of it.

There is also this voice line from Nagato (i believe the one where affection level is at "stranger") where she says she passed all flagship duties to Yamato. This means that eventually Yamato will arrive and kind of either say the right thing so that she gains following from all minor groups in the SE or Akagi goes loco and nobody can stop her except for Yamato and after that she gains Nagato's trust and she is officially granted the title of flagship. Through this game of war Akagi and Nagato got to understand each other...to a point. But at the same time, I feel like she was trying to show Akagi a particular lesson. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Akagi is power hungry, we ALL know this, the problem is...she doesn't. I would dare to say she sees herself less as power hungry, and more like needing more power. In other words her deadly sin in the story is Gluttony, to be more percise, gluttony of power, and that Gluttony has blinded her..Akagi only sees the power now...not the everything she was fighting for to use that power.

I've only played this game since New Years, so this might already be explained in much greater detail. But with what we know with META ships, they've lost everything. And it's the darkness and despair that consumes them, and that's what gives them their power. At least, that's how I've understood it from the stories I've gathered so far. So, if what if we are witnessing with her, is this process, of a ship girl willing to sacrifice everything, and the desire to do the right thing ends up doing the wrong thing. So that "loosing everything" might not be what we always assume it to be, that the loosing of friends we often see other META ships talk about sometimes. Maybe it's the same friends risking their lives and loosing their lives to stop them. And their thirst for power to protect blinds them, you know what they say: "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely". What if we are actually witnessing a ships decent into becoming a META ship? Just my two cents added to your video. Think it would be rather cool to do something like that. I'm personally not a huge fan of Akagi, but there is no denying she's a very popular ship in the AZUR Lane community. Giving a popular character a downfall can be tricky, but it can also make it a much more powerful thing to happen. Having a nobody character falling to corruption doesn't mean much, but when it's a character with a lot of emotion and personal investment, it has a much bigger impact to a story.

Ulrich event was crucial in showing a bit more about the Meta girls and Kronstatd event showed us a lot more on how they come to be. Honestly, I Can't Wait for the next major IJN event and the event which will follow the Eagle Union part of the history, but I have a feeling we will see the Alaska event before the follow up to this event, by that I mean the attack on the base the Comander is in at the end of Musashi event. The Sea of Stars, if I'm not mistaken, where, if I'm not wrong, is where Alaska is, according to Seydlitz event. My bet to what Akagi will do is that she migh go near the Metamorhposis, in a similar way to Kronstatd, but how she will get there, that's the thing. Another thing I guess will happen is the whole Siren Factory thing that Bismark and the Sakura are runing. I think That might lead to the separation in the 2 factions after the war, as shown in Kronstatd event, in a similar way to the cold war. The future of AL plot looks promissing, and I'm quite interested in what could lead to a new Operation Siren, but this time probably in the pacific. Honestly, this event just made me even more curious, I really want more. Also, as a final consideration, I believe that, in the event that will follow what is happening to the base the Comander is in, hope to see it this year, but my guess is next year, the Comander will meet one of the Arbiters, Empress if I'm not mistaken, and maybe talk to her, so we could see a bit more of their side or what they really want.

thanks for the vid Hawk. please take all the time you need , we understand. If you don't mind there is some thing I would like to comfirm. it has been stated in multiple ocassions that Akagi had a revelation of how the world ends, and thus began her quest to prevent it from happening by any means necesary, but I don't think it was ever stablished the form this "revelation" took, I believe it hasn't been stated whether it was shown to her by observer or if she got an epihany on her own, similarly to what shinano expiriences, or some other way. could you please comfirmed if this has been stablished?. I don't think it makes much sense for it to have been shown by the sirens, she is smart enough to automatically question its reliability and not take it for granted if that were the case. I think she first had the "vision" in question then she turned to the sirens for power, since as we now know, it wasn't the sirens which caused the world to end either way, thematically I don't think her flaw is being greedy or power hungry but rather being distrustful, she is not able to trust others to not f*ck it up so she has to do it herself. the vibe I was given when she sacrificed kaga in the game is not that she is willing to betray those closer to her for the sake of her ambition but the complete opposite, a display of self-sacrifice, that she is willing to let go of what she personally holds dear in order to save the world, even her own health (I think she knows the origin cube will consume her) and honour (she said she is willing to play the villain if it gets her closer to her goal, key word "play"). Personally I enjoyed the story, a bit slow at the begining but I liked the payoff. my impression was that Musashi was legitimately giving Nagato and Mikasa a chance to convince her to back off from carry on Akagi's origin cube tests, so I don't think it was all meaningless and predetermined as some other players propose

It could, if no one's trying to stop Akagi. She's secretly supported by Musashi too. Her retainer shipgirls, especially Kaga, will most likely follow her as well. Therefore, this is like the race against time whether we, as the Commander manages to find the way to reunite all naval power, or the history'll repeat itself. As far as I know, Iron Blood will likely answer our call now when needed, there'll be the Sardegna and Vichya left for us to rally now.

dont apologize for puting family first. take as much time for it as you need. to the event/video: i totaly agree with you. that event was necessary. and i think that all points you speak of where what they intended to do. and the future events will build up on it. but for me, even after rewatching the scenes, this event is still the worst written, unlogic and stupid event i ve seen in any media in a very long time. the outcome could be achieved without the evnt... maybe its because i dont like akagi and think she should be under supervision? maybe i read to many story and just dont like the writing style? maybe im just disapointed because the last events where so well done? maybe i just want to hate the event? i could write sides over sides over sides for what is stupid about it... from how there is to much useless text for nothing is told, to aktion in the event itself are mostly useless (the event was important, but the "how" is stupid), i would disagree that any kind of conviction is shown and and and... i m starting with this, even if i dont want to... to determination: yes but no? it is a mind game isnt it? in azur lane we mostly had someone plan to do something that is not determination, so dosnt it become determination? which and whos determination is it that is followed? the concept of determination is so vage... the event for me was predictable because something had to happen, so it couldnt be nagatos and mikasas win. one way or the other agaki had to win... but what i will say is, that in my opinion Musashi got played dirty in the event. her character is the worst show of a new character since ever. wasted 125% (over 100% because the build up was so good). i dont see any character development, i dont even see any kind of character at all. write her out and let akagi and mikase take her lines... its the same story. the only point i disagree with you is that she is unbiased. if she would be, then why did she set up this event? wouldnt she just support akagi as before? and that point of me thinking (because they didnt show or told anything about it) she is biased leads me to think: Musashi is the stupidest and b*thiest character in azur lane. with a doctor title! if we could see a kind of character, that would be sinnister, there wouldnt be a problem. but with her always justifying that she supports akagi, even knowing that it is wrong... she just looks stupid. i dont see any of her actions influencing anything. the event is like she knows what she is doing is stupid, she knows akagis way is wrong, she could help nagato, she could help to bring peace... but what does she do? supporting the most unstable character in game, hiding the truth, helping potentionally destroying everything, bases conflicts, dosnt know if her plan even works..... i m getting out of hand... again... sorry but for me Musashi is just a useless character. maybe the future events will show her as the bigest brain with the next 6d chess plan and all, but her introduction killed any intresst in the character for me. as a german, in the back of my mind, i have a thought that gets me interested...the story between Musashi and agaki reminds me of Paul von Hindenburg and a.h. ... Hindenburg gave him power to unite the land and hoped that the responsibility will form him... but he couldnt see what a monster he created... we know, there are no dead in the game and the stupid plan to give akagi the nuke will be succesfull at the end. be honest: like a bad tv show we all know after the drama there will be the happy end. just bugs me to see akagi as a savior at the end.... and isnt it part why we love and play the game? oh, one last thought akagi says: we will all see each other at the other side. presuming amagi is dead, dosnt it mean that akagi wants to kill everything? thanks for the video. xD

I've been looking into some of the discrepancies and I can't say I'm fully happy with how much some of the scene can change. There's a critical dialogue between Mikasa and Musashi that I think really pushed more on Musashi's thoughts about this entire scenario they are in. It gives the feel that they know of possible "bad endings" for the Sakura Empire (Destruction through the re-enactments that Akagi has seen...and the Destruction by an unknown force [leviathan] that Shinano saw) and trying to find some way to avoid them. Akagi's route is a possible avenue, but might be more of a "last hope" option instead. This dialogue gives a better view of Musashi as someone weighing all her options and trying to keep an open mind, but still working to have an "ace up her sleeve".

@@Hawk2zer0 after i read your twitter post about the "lost content" i was ready to give a burning speech about how even more stupid that makes the event, how it dosnt change a thing and and and... but - hear me out - something bugged me on one part after the third read. and then i thought: wait, what if you see it from another point. that they simply tell the truth there? here a "little" seriouse theory crafting on the "not in the internatinal version", so have it on your side to (hopefully) follow my thoughts (first what i wanted to rage about (1.=) and than the what if (2.=)): at the beging musashi and mikasa were talking about the watatsumi and the connection of akagi with the sirens and the power the sirens offer. that the sirens connection dominated akagi. mikasa asks if they want to burn the sakura empire (SE), that she will not alow it. musashi asks why they are not alowed? she explaines how the SE rised under the exploids of akagi and the siren power. 1.= well what kind of leader wants to burn his own empire? and who were the leaders that lead the SE to that point? akagi, musashi and yamato! they are the leader that brought the SE to that point! so do they just want to cover the mistakes they made? 2.= yes, what if it is exactly this? akagi, musashi and the executives are the leaders that brought the sirens power to the SE. but now they dont need it any more, the sirens are not untouchable anymore. the shipgirls now can get power that surpass/rival the sirens. so now it is akagis task to clean up her past, clean the SE of the sirens influence. she brought it in and now she has the right to show of that the power is not needed anymore. they burn down the current SE to rejuvenate it as a new SE free of the shackles from the sirens and growing with their own powers. they bring up how the iron bloods/ FDG changed their fate and how Akagi now has the right to do the same in the SE. the part i dont can fit in is, that "the sirens havent carried out revenge"... they did. against the royals. the SE is far away and was not a primary faction in the event with the arbeiter, they are not a main focus of the sirens atm. but the talks was before she got info from shinano? then they talk about the "what if you die tomorrow". 1.= and what will be the reason you die? war? illness? meteroite? there is no right answer! yeah with this you can justify every action, duh! 2.= but what if it is just a call for urgency? if they give the sirens to much time, they may find a way to counter it, to block it. actions have to happen now, the sirens are distrected, weakened, touchable and akagi has the power now. they then follow with the "predetermind script of the sirens" and the deaths of SE that Shinano saw. 1.= but arnt the futres Shinano saw already invalid? there are so many changes (bismarck survived, the comander, the dead of the arbeiter, the spawning and influence of the Meta). are they fearing a future that is not written anymore? 2.= what if they dont fear the future, but the pasts (records) that leaded to these events in the other branches? that described the fall of Japan WW2 forces to the USA ("do you want this ending?"). the japan at that time still had a certain political standing. the SE in the branches, bound to the sirens, was not able to change, maybe fallen to the sirens influence, all the other factions were forced to subdue them and to stop the sirens. that will happen if they dont change. what if the leviathan there was not a show of siren power, but of SE despair? because they didnt act at the right time. Akagi is a storm that brings change, thats why she gets the right to lead, she wants to shoulder the new future. it explaines kind of, why akagi is so agressiv, its her responsibility. musashi than, challenges mikasa if she could do what akagi wants to do (her will), change the dark future, if she could relase the SE from the siren chackles? and mikasa denies... she dosnt have the power now, she cant cange in this short time, she dosnt know how deep the sirens influence is in the SE. only akagi can go that part. well thats at least my take on the cut contet... and sadly it wasnt in our event. because it really can change what we can expect.

@@Hawk2zer0 part 2 some interessting things that change with my thoughts: - akagi says that she cant follow amagis drams/visions (amagi, in her goodbye, says to kaga "protect the sakura empire" and "her sister") = akagi cant protect the SE amagi knew, she wants to change the SE... amagi may have known that the sirens have to much influence in the SE, but could never do anything against it. it changes the the "so that i can meet her again... together with all our friend in the SE-- " " which is not bound to the sirens." implies that maybe amagi is alive? that akagi wants to show her a free SE? - akagis critique on nagato is, that they want to protect and the current state, which is infected with the sirens poison. nagato has the ideals, but not determination to crush the chackles, nagatos way would be the way of the other branches that leads to the downfall of the SE - it also can change why nagato and mikasa are not so shocked at the end (mikasa defenetly told nagato about musashis talk), they failed to make change and act now, but they now have their tasks to prepare for the changes - the event was less to test mikasa and nagato, but rather to akagi - the event could show not how divided the SE is, but rather that they are more connected as we thougt = while akagi goes on a rampage to chalange the sirens and build a way to a new future, she can be sure that the SE is save, Nagato and Mikasa dont want to sacrifice in the offence but they are pillars at home, that akagi can walk her path without fearing that the sirens will get in her back. could explain the "akagis will" that they, but not we, know. - musashi says, that they cant forge a future alone (neither akagi nor nagato) but if they work together, there should be nothing that can harm the SE, she cant see the future akagi wants to build, because she dont know how the SE without the sirens influence looks like. - akagi's critique on the inconsequence of bismarck got me a little wrong at first, but seeing the storys, akagi is right. bismarck used her power and was ready to die, she told FDG. But akagi wants to use the power AND wants to live, she wants to show the futur to the others. - the story might not be as dark as the event pretends it to be - for me personaly: musashi at least gets a little face and the determination that is always thrown in the room gets meaning - it could also kind of explain why musashi makes these "i know its dangerous but i support it" statements.. because the change is nessesary... and its not as harmfull as the event builds it up. - the "ace up her sleeve" can be seen as a trump card against the siren's revenge or if they try to interfere with akagi well at least these are some theories i came up with. yeah i know that these dont cover the full event and that there are holes here and there, but it would be a future event plan that i would like to see. didnt intended to write so much sorry that it got out of hand... xD hope it is was a little entertaining now i want to see how far away from the truth i m xD

i would like to disagree with the view most people here expressed. From what i understood of the event, this entire''game'' was a test by musashi for both akagi and nagato and mikasa. The test had two objectives: 1) confirm the factions convictions, the strength of said convictions and whether or not both factions can compromise or not and unite. 2) confirm whether or not it is possible to utilize watatsumi in order to create weapons against the leviathans ,in addition to confirming if it is possible to stabilise or halt metamorphosis using watatsumi. in the end both sides failed both objectives. There was no compromise or unification, nor is it possible to stabilise metamorphosis( in this timeline), only delay it i believe it is important to remember musashi knows what happened in the og timeline thanks to jintsuu meta, and seems to have backed up akagi reluctantly and only after making sure nobody could get hurt and even then keeps asking for more information. i believe she backed up akagi because her way provided something tangible (at lesat as far jintsuu meta and to an extent musashi are concerned) in comparison to nagato and mikasa, who, in their eyes, talk a big game , yet when the situation demanded it chose to preserve their ideology and pull their punches , which cost them their victory. And according to jintsuu meta, something similar happened in their timeline against the leviathans, which cost them the war. In the end , considering what we know about the leviathans , both sides have valid points mikasa and nagato by arguing that ideals and the will to uphold them in times of extreme difficulty are important , while the same time musashi and jintsuu meta have a point that in order to uphold your ideals you need to have the power to preserve them first ,and considering the power displayed in any event that had the leviathans or at least mentions of them ( and if my hypothesis of bhr having anything to do with the leviathans is correct, in addition to the power displayed by bhr going full meta as described by the files released today ) they are going to need a lot oif it to even stand a chance sorry for the long post, i believed that it was necessary to explain my view in length in order to make my disagreement understood. p.s.: as many people have pointed out , take your time man family is always more important. keep up the good work.
