Tablerock - Grand Teton National Park in 4k. A Matthew McConaughey inspired hike.

Спорт

"Never again" seems to be the saying after hiking this mountain. But Tablerock calls us back each year. The memories and the views win over the sweat and sunburns. This has been a special spot my whole life and I'm grateful to still be able to share it with you.
This time I brought a lil Matthew McConaughey with me. To drop some wisdom bombs. To shine light where there might be darkness. His words have helped me. I hope they can help you as well.
Join Ky, Nat, Rex and I as we do our annual ritual of hiking this 11,111 ft. mountain that sits below the Tetons.

It is spectacular. The crowds are terrible though. Hence the early season hiking really limits the crowds. Didnt see a single person on this hike but in a month it will be packed. Thank you so much for supporting the channel.

Yes usually that is the plan. Each time I ski it though I somehow get lost down in a different canyon. Which makes for a long bushwack out.

What dates did you film this? I want to try it, but live in flat Texas with no snow or elevation to practice and we’re going in June this year, so I think that might be too early with our experience levels haha.

So I usually hike this every year on Memorial Day weekend. Yes still lots of snow but by end of June it will be mostly melted off. It will be very accessible when your here. But whether there is snow or not it is still a burly hike. Start training now. Find some stairs or that god forsaken stair climber in your gym. The elevation is legit. I see very old people and very young people complete this hike so use your best judgment. Even just hiking to the top of the ridge or doing a section of the hike would be beautiful. Let me know if you make if to the top or if you have any more questions. Best of luck. Thanks for stopping by the channel.
