It was truly wonderful to see Anbes after so many years. The memories of our childhood in Mekelle came rushing back, reminding me of the special bond we shared growing up in the same kebele. We were surrounded by such great friends like Gebremedhin Haile, Meresa, Getachow Sihul, Endelbu, Desta, Mengisteab, and so many others. I fondly recall our football games, the spirited matches between Enderta and Tiydel. Those times were filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie that has stayed with me all these years. The excitement of playing together, the cheers of our friends, and the pure fun of those days are moments I cherish deeply. Thank you, Anbes, for bringing back these beautiful memories. I wish you nothing but health, happiness, and all the best in everything you do.

It feels great and thrilling that Ambess has taken us through a memory lane of a Mekelle of the 60s & 70s.He has tickeled our forgotten memories that made us nostalgic. His vivid narration of various issues_ school, sports, youth activities, Menderna, imperial politics etc_ of old Mekelle gives one a goosebump.
