Never thought i'd see the day when Marcus operates his bass in Drop-D tuning =D this brudda is pure badass
Marcus Miller is a great guy and he has certainly paid his dues. I was blessed to be able to meet him at Gilly's in Dayton, Ohio several years ago. He was very approachable. I wish him all the best and I am always ready to soak up some of his knowledge when he shares it.
This bass is the best bass made for slap style bass playing , it's amazing as is Marcus

@andrewbautista23 A pre-amp on board generally makes the sound a little more hi-fi and obviously increases the bass' output. With a decent pre-amp like this you can easily get those same sounds, you'll just have to use a little more dramatic eq structures with a passive to get that same feel.
This thing sounds so good. Will it sound good if the output of this preamp is sent directly onto a mixing board?
And THAT is how you sell a product!

@mixedfunkiez I know. my comment was in good intentions. I guess you misinterpreted it. I love the videos and the way he explain it all for us. That is a perfect way to sell a product, see what a I meant? He is not make any merchandising or telling you to buy the Pre-amp, but my wish is to go right away to amazon.com and buy it. I love that.

SWR is OUT of Buissness! This video is 11 years old and out of date The amp still sounds good though

great bassist, crappy brand...all swr built by fender is garbage...I know 'cause I bought one...the good swr stuff is pre-fender

Unfortunately corporations have run some great products into the ground. I have a lot great old SWR. Some of their later stuff is decent, not like Pre-Fender, but there are some bargains out there.
