    Hi Pepijin, I really appreciate all the work you've done on BCG, the 5-forces and SWOT models. Easy to listen, well-explained and the most important - each model was summarized by you with comments, examples and well-explained application. Great job! Your presentations and Excel spreadsheets are clean and user-friendly. I enjoy my learning process thanks to your posts.

    Brilliant. The SWOT is rarely done properly. Thank you for showing us how it should be done. I wouldn’t bother with “The fact that the competition...”, just write “The competition is highly active...”. If you could have some sort of number to justify the word ‘highly’ such as “The competition has increased advertising by 20%...” it would be even better. Anyway, I love your work and, if you have not done one already, I would to see a five forces. I have just written one on American Express and I would love you to show me how it is done properly. M.

    Hello, Pepijn: Out of all the videos I watched this evening, yours is unique in that you expanded upon SWOT with the Confrontation Matrix. I shared this with my class and am excited to try this out tomorrow night while drafting my final assignment for my current Business Strategy class. Well done. Thank you.

    Pepijin, having prepared and listened to many SWOT presentations over the years. I had always felt there was a key missing factor in the analysis and call to action. The Confrontational Matrix you have described, is that missing element that distills the observations and leads to a supporting operation plan. Thank you for this insight!

    Igor Stojiljkovic Thank you for your kind words. I can't remember Drucker invented any business or strategic model which is used all over the world at business studies? It's more his view on existing models. I try to focus on models in strategic marketing planning. Ansoff is the one that's coming up. But thank you for the input!

    Thank you so much Muhammad for your kind words...! And spread the word to your friends! Regarding your question; Yes, and no. To be precise: Not nescessarly a box gets a minus. And, not nescessarly a dubble minus either. I think what you mean: 'is it possible such a box gets a plus?' That's not possible I guess. If you have an issue there in that corner, it would be a negative one. Does this answer your question?

    Thank you, Pepijn! Especialy for someone whose mothers tongue is not English, it is very impressive to give a presentation like this. Just one question; with the Four possibilities, with number 1. Highly active competition vs motivated staff. You say this has no connection whatsoever , however is it not arguable that having well motivated staff might give you the uperhand when it comes to winning or gaining on the competition? I would say that example fits the '0' example more. Am I wrong?

    Zero would be ok. But you almost fell in the 'trap' by trying to find something everywhere. My message is: Be very, very picky on every crossing. Only those, which immediately 'sound' like a S,W,O,T are 'issues'.

Alvast bedankt, Nicole

  • @PepijnSchoemakerWebinars

    @PepijnSchoemakerWebinars

    7 жыл бұрын

    Hi Nicole, sorry voor de late reactie. De 'vier acties' hebben geen enkele link met het centrale probleem (liever centraal probleem dan centrale vraag... Dat is namelijk iets anders). Vanuit je negatieve key issues (de dubbel minnen, die bijvoorbeeld komen uit 'rechts onder') wordt het centrale probleem geformuleerd. De 'acties' gebruik ik eerlijk gezegd niet echt. Links boven is vaak een oplossing. Maar liever de 'dubbel plussen'. Alle issues zijn aandachtspunten, ongeacht uit wel 'vak' of kwadrant ze komen. Ok?
