Just did (subscribe). Interesting and poignant story about the story you did on Shelley Tyburski. By simple chance (small and eclectically-populated New Year's Eve 2013), I accompanied a good friend of mine to his brother's NYE party. He advised me about the stray guest I would meet there, and just know she was a bit strange. When I came in, I introduced myself to her and said 'Shelley?'. She said I could call her anything I wanted. Something ethereal and quite special about her, and the four of us were listening to 'stories' intently, and we called her out on a few (said she spoke many languages, so those of us who could asked her questions in the most common - no comprende). But she took it all in strideand was delightful company. Never met her before, but I could feel she was a very special soul just looking for love. I think she had something like 5000 friends on FB. I left feeling that I had indeed met an angel of God and that she wasn't long for this world. Her last New Year. She was gone three months later. Devil comes in all shapes and sizes - her mother had no idea of her child's specialness. Thank you for really showing that aboutShelley.

ROSIE WAS MY DAD'S FRIEND. Wow, I have been asking podcasters to cover this case and I can't believe I got to see it here! Thank you for covering it. My dad worked with Rosie in the ER right up to her murder. He said no one liked Yaz, it was pretty clear he was screwing around. Once, Rosie made a comment that she thought he had tried to put "gasoline" in her soda by accident, and now that I'm more familiar with crime, it seems like he was trying the antifreeze trick. My dad went to her funeral and he said when the one of ladies he worked with went to give Yaz a hug, he complimented her perfume and said, "Rosie would never wear that for me." Major creep, glad he is locked the hell up. Thanks for this and all your hard work, Mike!

If you are in an abusive relationship and it’s ramping up and you’re stuck on what to do (yeh it’s very hard to think clearly and rationally when you’re used to being psychologically manipulated) make notes and recordings and leave them places secure (friends/ secure boxes) and this is empowering. Write a diary. You can really be shocked when you reflect later on what you’re going through. If it really gets bad and you’ve courageously decided to leave arrange to leave but also ensure the abuser knows you’ve left those notes and tapes with people and if anything happens to you they will be turned into authorities. It’s not easy to leave and you feel terribly weak. You end up closing friendships because you feel so embarrassed you’re clinging to something toxic. Good luck all and don’t give up hope. There is a future and it’s a lot brighter x ❤ Ps and don’t beat yourself up about staying in that situation. These abusive Parasites are insidious and gradually chip away at our equilibrium until we have no identity without the abuser

I also fell in love with darling sweet Rosie and her whole lovely classy precious family . What a pitiful horrible sad tragedy . One of my favorite most memorable parts of testimony was when Yahzeed’s brother said how’d he’d yelled furiously at Yahzeed for destroying both families when Yahzeed secretly confessed to his brother to killing Rosie . When asked why he was so upset the brother answered from the stand “ Because I Loved Rosie Too “ .

Mike is one hard working guy. I went to school for film/video production and have been editing since 1996. Still, there's no way in hell I could keep up with his upload schedule. Certainly not with the consistent deep research and quality of work. It is always a joy to find he's released a new video. Also, I always hope to see the life insurance bit. That sh!t randomly runs through my head all the time.

I ❤️ Mike. If only he made videos Tree times a week... Just joking... I like to save your videos for a couple of months and then have an all night binge fest! It's the best True Crime marathon ever. I appreciate your work, Mike. I started watching you right as covid was starting to take over the world and found your stories to help me when I was trapped in the house under that extended lockdown and only allowed out for Dr's appointments and once in a blue moon to go with one of my parents to pick up essentials for the house hold like once a month. They'd do all the shopping and do it very well, but once a month I would beg to go out food shopping with one of them just to escape the house. You know how strict lockdown policies were at that time. Little did I know that you'd be a staple to have on the digital media shelf to save up to watch when you need true crime done right. 💯 to you, Mike!

@@squishish It's not racist to be proactive about your safety. Liberals always harp on about rape culture and the patriarchy, yet Palestinian culture is somehow exempt from criticism because they're not white? Women do not have the right to an education in Palestine. They're often restricted from driving. The large majority do not own any land or dwellings because their culture dictates that they give it to their male family members. Honor killings are very common. Rape is almost never prosecuted. You can certainly marry whoever you want, but don't be surprised that their beliefs and teachings end up affecting you negatively.

@@squishish Not a single person said to strike someone out specifically and only because of their culture. What I am saying is to be more careful and evaluate that person in case they do hold those same beliefs that are prevalent in that culture. Just like you're going to be careful around a man that you don't know because men often do victimise women, you should be careful of, and proactive about a person if they're from a culture with incredibly backwards and damaging beliefs, laws, and traditions. Religious convictions and beliefs, and cultural beliefs are some of the strongest beliefs a person can hold. Women need to be proactive about their safety and be aware of those cultural differences, and not "feel weird" about making sure that you're compatible. People really don't like to admit that some cultural beliefs are dangerous and damaging for fear of being called a racist. You're dancing around the subject like a figure skater trying to both not be perceived as racist, while simultaneously agreeing that women do need to evaluate their potential partner for red flags. A Palestinian man with a muslim background is extremely less likely to be supportive of women's rights and bodily autonomy. Therefore, you need to do your due diligence and take that into account.
