Swimming basics - Learn how to scull for water safety | Aaquatics

Are you a new swimmer or not too confident in the water? In this video, Adam talks about sculling: this is a useful lifesaving technique that can help you tread water in deep water, keep your balance and confidence in deep water on holiday, swimming with your kids, etc. This is a common question we get at Aaquatics and is one of the first water safety techniques we teach adults in our lessons.
Sculling is a small back-and-forth motion with your hands in a figure eight-like pattern that creates resistance with your hands against the water. This can help you direct the water in a direction and either provide a lift or help you travel in a direction in the water.
This is the first video in our #InternationalSwimWeek 2024 series (1 out of 7); keep an eye out this week for more content!
