I did both sparing and killing Darko, so it’s really up to you. Niko learned that revenge doesn’t work or satisfies anyone it just brings more pain but revenge ends all conflicts only to create more misery.

There's a video by this guy called Lorerunner, "GTA 4 Analysis & Rumination". I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this game's story; the guy brings up a lot of great points, and his analysis of the Darko scene in particular is really fascinating.

You can get Gracie's car, you just got to be quick enough to take out the guy driving it away after the mission ends, I managed to get it and keep it as a trophy. I never really drove it much though, but rather took it to one of the safehouses and parked it.

So I have both killed and spared Darko. The first time I played, I was a kid and I didn't give much thought on it and straight up went to kill him. The second time I played this game was during the lockdown. That is when I thought that Darko is already guilty of what he did in the past and the best way to make him suffer is letting him live cuz he is dieing from inside. Also I understood Niko better when I played this game for second time that the only way to get rid of the life he was living and start living a normal and healthy life was by stop killing people. There were plenty of hints given from the moment you picked up Roman to confrontation with Darko to make that choice. Also Niko shoots Darko 12 times for his 12 friends he lost.

When you killed darko niko is sad but if you dont kill him he is angry its better not killing him thats it what most people do

You need to install killer kip's modpack. It enhances all controls and smoothens out navigation, driving and vehicle speed and movements.

I killed darko the first time i played the game, and let him live on my second run. If you spare him, niko actually learns to let go of his past, saying that nothing would have chance about his life if he killed him. PD: The game has two endings, so if you wanna play both of them you should make another save file after the mission called "One last thing"
